there they are again. kai and ji-a, the campus couple.
and me? i'm just a friend of his.
i'm happy for them, don't get me wrong. i just sometimes wish that i was in ji-a's position, that i was the one kai loves. but, i understand the situation.
she wears short skirts. i wear tshirts.
she wears high heels. i wear sneakers.
she's cheer captain. i'm just on the bleachers.
she's everything i'm not.
i yearn for kai's heart but his heart yearns for someone else.
i sigh as i turn my attention back to my device.

i take in a full breath as i submit my answer.
