if dream was Tommy's dad au (part 1)

(this takes place when tommy was in the prison it wont be like how it actually was. nightmare is in the one-shot and when ever dream did something wrong or bad it was actually nightmare)

Tommy sat near the lava leaning agents the wall  trying to stay as far away from dream as he could, he was torn away from his thoughts as he heard something fall into the water with a 'plop' sound he looked over and realized the thing that fell was 6 potato's but tommy didn't try to move but just simply looked back at the ground. tommy heard shuffling from the Conner where dream sat, after a little bit he heard dream start to walk towards him until he could see dreams feet meaning the man was standing right infront of him tommy could hear him breathing until dream spoke up in a raspy voice "you need to eat tommy if not you'll starve" tommy just looked up at dream and was shocked to see the older man wasn't wearing his mask. he took his time to inspect dreams face he could see freckles all over the mans face that sparked as his face was near the lava he could see many scars on his face manly small but one big scar on his left eye, a emerald color green looked back at Tommy's shining blue eyes tommy could have sworn it looked as if dream hade been crying. tommy looked at the potato's in the older mans hands and ever so carefully took all 6 of the potato's "what about you dream you need to eat aswell" tommy stated to the man(not that tommy would admit but he did care for the older man). dream didn't reply and just walked back to where he was sitting before and leaned agents the wall and closed his eyes tommy sighed and eat the potato's but left 2 for dream as he needed to eat aswell and tried to sleep himself.

*DREAMS POV* ( bold = flashback,  italics = thoughts)

I sighed as i looked at my baby boy "looks like its just me and you now buddy" the baby looked up at his father he smiled and giggled not yet understanding what he was saying as the sun set i stood up carefully and took my son inside and placed him in the playpen as i went to go make dinner steak for me and a baby bottle for tommy as i was walking back towards the play pen i sore tommy patting patches our cat i leaned against the door frame and smiled at the cute site however it didn't last long as tommy looked over and started giggling, i chuckled and walked over with the bottle and gently picked him up and feed him the bottle after he was done i sat him on my lap and started eating

*time skip tommy is 4 now*

"I'm sorry bubba" i told my son as he slept peacefully i placed him on the doormat and knocked a few times before running to hide behind a tree i waited a little bit before i sore the door open.....
