NOTE:
I find it hysterical that this story is a crossover of three fandoms, Harry Potter (Draco and the Malfoys), Bridgerton (Benedict and co) but also Star Wars (since my Theodore Nott looks like Adam Driver/aka Kylo Ren).
Anyway, we are nearing the end folks; just a couple of chapters more and then we are finished. Next chapter is going to be juiiccyyyyyyyyy as Mara is forced to go back to Astella. I am looking forward to writing that.
P.s. I hope the time jumps in this are not confusing.
Ps2: I keep forgetting to mention.. I am not usually one of those writers that recommends music with her stories.. but this one.. which happens to be my favourite song.. this one applies to Draco and Mara in my opinion.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDkUu9ayh8s

Theo hurriedly ran through the castle looking for the butler, but he couldn't find Mr. Gleeson to his frustration but after a while he did in the hall, in the vicinity of Draco's study. Theo grabbed him firmly, but not unkindly, by the arms to stop the butler from moving forward.
"Mr. Gleeson... Has Prince Draco read the newspapers yet?" Theo inquired hastily.
"I have no idea Mr. Nott..." said the butler slightly irritated... These kinds of tasks were done by the footman, not the butler who had been in the family's service for 30 years and had much more on his plate in terms of responsibilities than giving the Prince his newspaper.
"I'll ask the footman" Mr. Gleeson suggested.
"Please, if he has not read the paper yet, please make sure that Prince Draco does not get a copy of The Astellian- "
"Gazette?" they both heard suddenly from behind and Mr. Gleeson turned around and saw Draco standing there.
"Too late, I've already had one" said Draco holding up the paper in his hand. Mr. Gleeson gave Theo a brief nod of understanding and then made to leave and Draco went back into his study but did not close the door.
When Theo came in, he saw his friend picking up a bottle of whiskey and pouring himself a glass and then turned to face his friend.
"Would you like some too?" Draco offered.
"No, no thanks" Theo replied as it was only 11 o'clock in the morning.
Draco shrugged and said "suit yourself" before going over to his desk, pushing the chair back and leaning backwards and regressing into deep thoughts until Theo broke addressed him once more.
"You know it doesn't have to mean anything. Just because she's there, doesn't mean she visited him. Maybe-"
"Ah you ill-informed one, you... Go to page three please Theo," Draco said and he pointed to the newspaper that was lying on a small coffee table while sipping on his drink.
Theo picked the paper up, flipped through the articles and read.
" The former spouse of Prince Draco was in the company of Violet Bridgerton and Benedict Bridgerton. Mr Bridgerton and Princess Mara seemed to be more interested in each other as they preferred talking to each other in lieu of watching the play".
Theo sighed. This was not good, and he looked at Draco who tried to look nonchalant, but a certain flicker of sadness passed through his eyes. The two best friends didn't say anything for a while as Theo, who was naturally very talkative, didn't know what to say.
" Well, I do hope the future Mrs. Benedict Bridgerton will be happy" said Draco and raised his glass in cheer.
"Don't get ahead of things, Draco. They are merely spending time together " Theo said.
