| 16. She ran away. |

Four days Later 

Sidharth was busy in an office meeting. He haven't met Shehnaaz after that day. This time he didn't even try to. Once the meeting ended he came back to his cabin from the conference room. 

He sat down being tired, adjusted the AC and checked on his schedule. He unlocked his phone to check his emails but stopped... he clicked on a message recieved from his legal advisor. 

The message read " Sana Kaur have successfully paid the compensation of 3,00,00,000. Where should I transfer it? To your personal account or business account? " 

Sidharth didn't knew how is he supposed to react to this. How did she pay the amount was the first thing that clicked his mind. 

He called the advisor, 

Sidharth: Has she paid the amount herself? 

Adv. : Yes sir. Her bank account got debited. It was transferred yesterday, I was informed about this by your accountant. 

Sidharth: I didn't want her to pay me any compensation. I just wanted to meet her, so this was the only possible excuse through which I could. So I want to you to transfer back the whole amount to her. 

Adv. : But sir.. it's not possible. Her account has already been terminated by the court. 

Sidharth: Terminated? How? 

Adv. : That I don't know sir.. but it has been. Generally it occurs when there are chances of misinterpretation of evidences by the charged person. And a case is going on on her so may be. 

Sidharth: Okay. Then please do me a favor, make sure she receives the amount back maybe in cash or any other possible way she could. 

Adv : Okay, Sir as you wish. 

...... 

Sidharth disconnected the call. He tried to focus on his work but his thoughts ditched him.

 His PoV : She transferred the amount but how did she do that.. what does she think about me now? Do she anyway think I hate her?.. if she does that's not what it is.. I was too vulnerable that day to reply to her. Nothing came in my mind. And then Riya.. ugghhh..  

FLASHBACK TO THEIR LAST MEET IN THE JAIL. 

Shehnaaz stopped speaking when she heard his audible cries. She looked at him. And saw him on his knees bent to his front. His hold on the file tightened leaving marks of his nails on it. She was about to say something more when she heard footsteps. 

Looking towards the direction she saw Riya looking at her with disgust. 

Riya :  Dekhliya iska asli rang? Aagyi akal tumhe? Samjh Gaye kitna galat socha tha tumne? Aur kitna sach kehte h uncle aunty aur hum sab? Chalo utho abh.. 

She leaned down and snatched tha file from his grip. Standing up she looked at Shehnaaz and threw the file on her by putting her hand inside the cage. 

Shehnaaz stumbled because of the sudden  force but later held the file. 

Riya : He made the papers for you. Sign them now yeh lo pen. This states that you need to pay the compensation charged by the court in favour of Sidharth within 8 days otherwise you can be put under prison. Anyways I am sure you can't pay this but still sign this. Rest I will make sure you won't stay in a condition to fool anyone else the next time. 

What are you waiting for sign fast. I don't have so much of time for your stares. 

She signed the papers and gave it back to Riya. Without even reading them. 

Riya : Sidharth.. I hope you are done with her now. Let's go. Get up now. 

Riya held his arms making him stand. While Shehnaaz kept looking at their retreating figures. They disappeared from her vision with their hands entangled in a tight grip. 

....... Back to present......... 

The same day in the evening, 

Adv : Sir.. the amount can't be refunded to Miss. Kaur as she has been taken out in a bail. I don't know how but her bail was recently granted by the court. And even though she was asked to not leave the city until the case gets solved she is no where to be found now. 

Sidharth: What? 

Adv : Yeah.. even the cops are trying to find her. It's clear that she ran away... 

Sidharth : Are you sure?

Adv : Yes sir.. 

Sidharth: Okay. Thanks. 

.......

Sidharth to himself: Did she really run away? 

Riya : Don't worry.. she will be caught back again. 

Sidharth: Huh? 

Riya : Yeah. You chill and get back to your work. I will see all these.. but I think someone is helping her. 

Sidharth: Who? 

Riya : Who knows? Maybe someone else like you whom she fooled with her body too.
