Chapter 3 The Prince

~Romans POV~

Monday Morning. God I hate those. Like why is it a thing? Why can't I just stay in my bed all day. Well actually i'd rather not because I have prince duties I need to attend.

"Roman, Sir the King would like to speak to you in 15 minutes." A maid had entered the door after knocking.

Just great I have to meet up with my dad. He isn't a bad man heck, he's the opposite of that, but when he is serious, he is most definitely not playing around. The maid left my room politely shutting my bedroom door so I could get ready. Well just sort my ghastly hair out. I get real bad morning hair. (Same Roman, same)

I got ready fairly quickly and headed to the throne room to see what on earth my father wants at 8am. It's far too early but duty calls.

"Good morning Roman! We can't play around today because something has happened to one of our villagers." King Thomas was very concerned.

"And this 'villager' is called?" I had no idea who he was talking about but I really don't want it to be about someone I knew.

"Patton Baker is his name, I heard you talk to him?"

-PATTON?! What the fuck has happerned to him? I swear.-

"Yes I do, what happened to him?" I was really scared, not really a Prince can't be scared.

"His mother has said that Patton had gone missing a week ago. She said that he went to get things for pastries and hasn't come back since. She did say that Patton gets his ingredients quite near the Dark Forest, we will be going there after lunch, be ready." All I could think of was that the Dragon Witch had captured him but I'd hope that Lord wouldn't let them do that.

"Okay, I'll be taking Logan though." He was the best knite we had and he is also my Tutor. He is a nerd, very strong nerd at that.

I left to go and process what I just heard. I knew Logan would not take this too kindly, he likes Patton, but I guess that's a good reason to let him help find Patton. -what is the Lord of the dark forest going to be like? Are they going to be a really bad person or a charming Lord like me, well not the Lord part I'm only a Prince at the moment.-

I am going to eat and get all my gear for this is going to be one heck of a ride.

~Virgil's POV~

I woke up to a letter on my bedside table. I opened the letter and it read

"Hello Lord,

I know this was a very short notice but one of my Sons friends has gone missing. His mother recons that he is in your Kingdom. So we are going to be at your wall at 12:45 on the dot.

The man's name was Patton and we would like to know if you have crossed paths. We are also going to be staying until we find him and bring him back home, if you don't mind that is.

We will not stay overnight if you do not want us to but we will be searching any areas that are not available for us to search, would you mind searching those areas.

After we find him we can set something up to repay you for letting us do this. Also I would like to get to know my neighbour a bit better for the future. The only thing I would like to know is your age. But you are going to have to tell me that before we enter. I don't want to do anything that is illegal if you are a minor.

-Well this sure will be interesting.. Huh I guess i'll be meeting the Prince too. I know he will be tagging along if it was his friend. The only thing I want to know is why on earth Patton never told me. I am not mad though we have only known each other for a week.-
