"The CALLER"

*THE CALLER*

Hi, ako pala si Blanca De Guzman. I am 27 years old and single. Nagtatrabaho ako as Dispatcher..

Madalas mga Emergency calls ang narereceive ko.

Minsan dito na ako sa office nakakatulog since available naman ang mga single rooms kung gusto mong magpahinga.. Merong times na hindi ako nakatulog dahil sa wala ung papalit sa akin kaya kailangan kong gising magdamag for Emergency purposes..

Then I receive this sudden call....




*Ring* *Ring* *Ring*


"Hello good evening, you are calling *** emergency hotline. How may I help you?"

"My god, P-please help me."

"Okay you have to calm down first. Can you tell me your situation right now?"
"Someone's following me."

"Can you tell me where you are?"
"Leonard Wood Road, actually I'm not familiar with this place.I-I just saw a sign board earlier."

"Can you tell me your name?"
"J-Jessica Tuazon."

"Filipino Citizen?"
"Yes."

"Do you know who's following you? Just keep your phone open and relax okay? I'm with you"
"I don't want to die."

"Can you tell me where you are when he started following you?"
"When I met my cousin earlier, around 7:30pm I think. Then w-when I was driving b-back, a car with a guy i-inside follows behind.. And t-then my car suddenly s-stops I don't--.."

Then the line's cut..

I waited for the next call. I receive the call around 10:32pm. I informed the nearest police station in the area to look for a girl in that road. They didn't see anyone so I told them that I'll update once the girl call again..






I received another call around 12:01am after that first call..

"Hello good evening, you are calling *** Emergency Hotline. How may I help you?"
"P-Please....Ayaw ko pang mamatay.. Please help me.." bulong ng caller..

"Can you tell me your situation right now?"
"Someone's following me. Damn it!"

"You're Jessica right. There are rescuers near your area, can you tell me where you are right now?"
"Pumasok ako sa isang building. I don't know.. But I'm sure along the street pa rin ito.."

"Okay, nakasunod pa rin ung lalaki? Is he alone?"
"Kanina isa lang siya. Tatlo na silang nakasunod sa akin bago ako mapadaan sa building na ito..Please help me.. Natatakot ako...."

"Don't be, honey...Are you hiding?.."
" *sob* ..Yes.."

"Just keep your line open.. I'm with you. Relax and don't make any noise. Okay"
"Help me.."

"Officer..The caller is inside a building near in Holy Ghost Hill Ext. Road"
"  *static* ..Copy that... "

"Okay, Jessica. San kayo galing ng kaibigan mo?"
"Chill Out Bar."

"Then, they started following from there?"

"Yes."

"Malapit ka ba sa construction site? Wag mong hahayang nakapatay ang phone mo. Okay? I'll trace you with that.."
"Okay."

"Can you hear anything around?"
"They are laughing. I-I think.. I-I don't know.."

"Did you lock yourself?"
"Yes.."

"Which floor? Malapit na ang rescuers okay.. Tell me which floor?"
"2nd"

"Do we need to turn left or right?"
"Right?"

"Okay, can you still hear them?"
"Yes."

"*Static* We are inside the building.. *static* ..Over.. *static*

"She's on the right wing of the building 2nd floor.."
"Which room? *static*

"Jessica dear can you tell me which room you are?"
"Amm.. 3rd room I guess.. It's dark.. I don't know.."

"Check the third room. The dark one."
"Copy that *static*"

"What can you see around you? Can you give me a hint?"
"I-I can only see two windows. And they are locked. And I think I'm inside a bedroom. There's a sofa and.. and.... (noise background)

"Hello?.. Jessica?..  Jessica?"

"*Static* No one's inside the building *static* ..we saw a room in third floor locked.. We're going in.. *Static*."

"Okay.. I heard noises inside.. Please check it. I can't reach Jessica."

"*static* Okay"

"Jessica? Jessica? Are you still there sweety?"
" *static* *static* ....T-thank you.."

Yun lang at naputol na ulit ang linya..  Nakareceive ako ng call sa Rescue team at may nakita silang bangkay ng babae na nakaposas ang mga binti at kamay sa isang poster bed habang walang saplot ang katawan at naka lock ng kahoy ang dalawang bintana ng kwarto.

Nangilabot ako lalo na't kausap ko lang kanina ang babaeng nagngangalang Jessica Tuazon. Nang magreport ang mga pulis kinabukasan, napag-alamang 5 araw ng patay ang 17-anyos na dalaga .Battery drained ang phone nito at walang load dahil expired na kahapon pa.

Ang nagpatayo ng balahibo ko sa buong katawan ay nang sabihin ng Inspector na isang beses tumawag ang biktima sa **** Emergency Hotline para manghingi ng tulong. Nasa Dial number ito ng phone pero walang time kung nasagot ba ang tawag o hindi. Inalala ko kung sino ang nakatao sa office that time..

Nangilabot ako ng maalala kong ako ang nakatao nung mga oras na iyon dahil wala ang papalit sa akin at...





Iyon din ang oras na may nareceive akong prank call na nasa same location at oras.. Pero lalaki naman ang tumawag ng mga oras na iyon..

....At sinabing..






"..Wala kang mare-receive na ibang call pagtumawag ako ng paulit-ulit di ba?.."
