𝙟𝙪𝙟𝙪𝙩𝙨𝙪 𝙠𝙖𝙞𝙨𝙚𝙣: 𝙨𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙝-𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥 𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙩𝙨

1. Itafushi: 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲.

Megumi has always hated sharing his feelings with others. It made him vulnerable, it could give people reasons to mock him or laugh at him. So far, he always dealt with his emotions on his own, and it always worked out quite well. But since a certain someone walked into Megumi's life, he started to become more and more uncertain about what to do with his feelings, because at times, for example when that light-pink haired person sits right next to him at lunch, he just feels like his heart is gonna explode. Should he confess? Or should he stay like this, pretending to be okay with just being best friends?

Megumi

Today was tough. It feels like I've reached my breaking point. I can't take this on my own anymore, I need to at least talk to someone else about it.
We had a day off today, and Maki requested to go on a boat trip. Since she already had Nobara on her side, as always, Yuuji was quick to join their idea, Panda also was convinced quickly when they told him they would stop by at a restaurant on the way back home, so Toge joined in as well with a very enthusiastic "Mustard Leaf!" Yuuji begged me to come with them, and since I have no chance when it's him and I didn't have to do any homework, I said yes. Gojo-sensei also just came with us, even though nobody asked him to. So. We rented a boat. It was big. It had three rows of benches. Nobara and Maki sat in the front row, flirting and laughing almost all of the time. Panda, Inumaki and Gojo-sensei sat in the middle, paddling to keep the boat going forward and chatting. And now, the worst part, which you probably already have guessed: Yuuji. Sat. Right. Next. To. Me. For. HOURS. We also talked a lot. I somehow managed to have actual, sometimes even really long, conversations with him, despite the fact that our knees were touching and my mind sometimes drifted away between the conversations to turn into a cinema playing an 18+ romance movie. It was almost like a torture. My fingers were twitching at times because they wanted to be placed on his thighs so badly. But, of course, that didn't happen.
Now, I've finally gathered up enough courage to go to Nobara's dorm and tell her about my feelings, because I think that will make me feel better, or maybe even ask her for advice. I hope she doesn't just laugh at me. Wish me luck.

Third person

"Who is it?" Nobara asked when she heard someone knocking on her door. "Fushiguro", her friend replied. "Oh! Come in!" Megumi opened the door, only to stop in his tracks at the doorframe because of Maki and Nobara laying in only tank tops and panties on Nobara's bed and seemed to have pulled away from each other just because of his knocking. "I feel like I'm interrupting something", he said and turned around, wanting to go back to his dorm and let the girls finish their makeout-session. "Megumi, wait! At least tell me why you came here! You never come to my dorm on your own, so it really has to be something a little more serious", Nobara said. "Uh yeah, it's something... personal. I trust you with it though, that's why I came here", Megumi answered. "It's not much of a problem, Fushiguro. You know, we can still continue this later, after you chat with Noba about whatever you want, ya know, the darker the sky, the better the kisses. If you don't want me to listen, I'll back off", Maki offered with a smile. "Uh-huh, that's very nice of you. Then, can I have a talk with Nobara?" Megumi awkwardly asked. She laughed. "Sure. Later, baby!" Nobara gave her girlfriend a kiss, and then Maki got up and left the room. Megumi came in, closed the door and sat on the bed next to Nobara, who was laying on her stomach. "So, what's the matter. Why we playing all mysterious? Should I feel honored to be the one you trust with this right now?" "Uh I don't know. I just... I've been thinking for a while... What if... I mean could there... Is there.. A possibility of Yuuji liking me? Like... Not as a friend. You know... What do you think?" Megumi looked down at his feet. His face was beet red and he felt so embarrassed. "Oh my God. Are you serious right now? You're telling me you finally want to do something about it and I'm the first person you tell? God, I feel SO honored!" Nobara made a high pitched noise and smiled her big, wholesome Nobara-smile. "Wait, so you knew?" Megumi asked. "Yeah. I have eyes", Nobara replied with a chuckle. "Shit, that obvious?" Megumi wanted to dig himself a hole, jump inside and never come out of it again. "Kind of. I mean, I consider myself an expert in this topic, Todo and Panda, for example, say that there is no way you're in love with him." "What?? You just told them?" Megumi couldn't believe his ears. "Uh, yeah... We made a bet, actually. They made it out of fun because they thought nothing's ever gonna happen, but now they owe me money." Nobara laughed. "Maki also suspected you're in love with him. But now, to your question: Yes. I think so. There is a chance, a high one actually. You know, he sometimes secretly stares at you, when he thinks nobody's watching. It's the same way you do it", Nobara said. "Really? You're not making this up to make me feel better, right?" Megumi asked. "No, I mean it. I even saw him looking at your ass one time, but it's mostly your thighs", she said with a chuckle. "I- I didn't ask for details", Megumi replied, blushing and side-eyeing his friend. Nobara laughed. "So, are you gonna confess to him?" "I don't know how, to be honest." "Megumi, do you know what day it is tomorrow?" Nobara suddenly asked. "Uh, yeah, it's Yuuji's birthday, if that's what you mean", Megumi replied. "That's exactly what I mean. I already have a present for him and I suppose you have too, but you could give him an extra one, a non-material present, y'know..." "Nobara... That's actually a great idea! Thank you", Megumi said. "No problem. It's that good timing of yours, asking me if he likes you one day before his birthday. Are you nervous?" Nobara asked. "Yeah, a bit. But what you said really made me feel a lot better. I actually thought he only sees me as a friend, but since I am in love with him, I may be a bit oblivious to that. Thank you, Nobara." "No problem. Goo luck then. Can you stop by at Maki's dorm and inform her we're done talking?" "Sure. Good night then. If you'll sleep at all", Megumi said with a smirk and earned a smack on his shoulder for that sentence. "Good night", Nobara said.

The next day

Yuuji

When I woke up, it only took a few seconds until the realization hit me. It was my birthday! I got up happily whistling, taking a shower and getting ready for breakfast. At the table, nobody was there. Did they forget? Was the first question that went through my mind. I got some bread and marmalade from the buffet and sat down. As I wanted to take the first bite, I suddenly heard Nobara screaming behind me: "HAPPY BIRTHDAY YUUJI!!!" I turned around and saw Nobara, Megumi, Toge, Panda, Maki and Gojo. Everyone had a present in their hands. "Oh my God... Thank you all so much! Thank you! That's so nice!" I didn't really know how to react, because I had spent my birthday at home with only my grandpa all my life. I never got so many presents, nor did I have many friends celebrate with me, it was only sometimes one or two. I started crying a bit and hugged everyone of them. Nobara hugged me like she wanted to squeeze the life out of me and Megumi's body temperature felt as hot as a stove, but it also could've been me. They gave me their presents and I opened them at an instant. I got a Hoodie from Nobara, a movie from Maki, Chocolate from Panda, Deodorant from Gojo (I quote him: "Happy birthday Itadori! Here's my present, because the one you use smells like a rotten animal."), a limited edition extra-maxi pack of rice balls from Toge and a book from Megumi. They all sat down and we had breakfast. The whole day was great, we went to a restaurant for lunch and everyone looked so happy. But the best part of the day was definetily the evening.

Third person

On the way back to school from the restaurant, Megumi asked Yuuji if he wanted to go take a walk with him when they get to the school. "Sure, why not. You got anything you wanna show me?" Yuuji asked. "Yeah, kind of", Megumi replied. "Huh?"
The restaurant wasn't far away, so they quickly arrived at the school. "Let's go", Megumi said. Now, he was suddenly so excited for this, even though he had spent so much time being afraid of it before. He took Yuuji to a little lake near a forest, where they sat down on a bench. "So, you wanted to show me this? Looks beautiful", Yuuji said. "Is this kinda like a date or some-" Yuuji got cut off by Megumi, who couldn't endure this for one more second. "I took you here because I wanted to be alone with you and ask you if you wanna be my boyfriend", he blurted out. "I, uh, oh God, oh holy shit, yes, yes", Yuuji replied without thinking about his words, surprised but very relieved and happy as the realization fully hit him. "Oh my... I can't believe this... Yuuji... This... is my real present for you. Happy birthday!" Megumi said, his cheeks glowing red and his eyes watery. Yuuji looked pretty much the same. "Thank you. Thank you! Thank you thank you thank you! This is the best birthday present ever, Megumi!" Yuuji took Megumi's hand and leaned closer. "Can I get a birthday kiss?" He asked. "Uh, sure." Yuuji filled the gap between them and softly kissed Megumi. Megumi kissed back, and they both closed their eyes as they felt the warmth of the kiss run through their bodies. "I love you", Yuuji said as they pulled away slowly for air. "I love you too", Megumi responded. He felt.... complete.
