emma waltzed down the stairs the next day after receiving a call from coach sullivan. the team was going to have their first practice in a month after they all quarantined at their homes for two weeks.
the housemates were going grocery shopping and emma was ecstatic. she was tired of being locked away in the house and this was the only time they left besides doctors appointments and private practice.
emma walked into the kitchen and sidney was already standing in front of the coffee pot, waiting for his coffee to be done. she smiled and opened the fridge, grabbing a red bull and opening it.
sidney looked at her blankly and she raised an eyebrow, "good morning."
"mornin'." he whispered.
"you feeling ok?" emma asked, noticing the bags under his eyes.
"just tired. didn't sleep well last night." he rubbed his face.
"we can always go later." she sat on the counter and he shrugged.
"i'm ok. i still want to spend the day with you."
"well we could take a nap. i love naps." emma put down the can of red bull and sidney grinned.
"that sounds great." he dumped the coffee in the sink and rinsed out the mug. he slid his hand into hers and led her towards his room. once they stepped into the room, emma looked around. it had been almost two weeks since she moved in and she had never been in his bedroom. compared to emma's room, it seemed dull and depressing. there were no colors or throw pillows and emma didn't like it.
"what's wrong?" sidney asked, noticing her furrowed eyebrows.
"your room is so cold looking. how long have you been living here?" she spoke as she laid down under his comforter.
"a couple of years. i just don't care for interior design." he answered, laying beside her and pulling her warm body into his.
"i could decorate for you." emma turned to face him, glancing at his pink lips.
"that'd be nice." sidney whispered.
"mhm." she hummed before placing her lips on his. her hand cupped his cheek as they continued to kiss. being sober while kissing sidney was even better than being drunk and fucking him. it made her feel like she was floating in the clouds.
sidney put his hand on her bare side and pulled away from her lips, "are you excited for the season to start?"
"yeah." she grinned, "even though it's gonna be weird with the pandemic."
"it's like it's the first season for me too. everything is brand new."
"at least i have the best captain ever." emma pecked his lips.
"i haven't really been a captain for you yet."
"well you let me move in with you, we practice together, and we do things that you could consider as team bonding."
"i don't think i'll ever bond with another teammate like this." sidney kissed her again, feeling emma's leg go over his. she pushed his shoulders down onto the bed and sat up, straddling his waist.
