SOFIA
"AHHHHHHHH!" I screamed as I jumped from my mother's chair. I started to panic, I tried to breathe, but I couldn't. I look around as I see everything normally placed. There was no Matteo, no bullets, no screaming. It was just the moonlight beaming off of my skin as I woke up frantically.

"Sofia! Oh my god, what happened? It is the middle of the night!" My father exclaimed as he glided across the floor, running towards me.
"Father!" I'd yell as I gripped his shoulder, pulling him in for a tight long hug. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry for holding a grudge when I didn't need to. Just please don't ever leave me, not like mom did."

"Where is this coming from. I'd never leave you, my dear." He replied.
"I've been having graphic and pretty detailed dreams lately. I think I've just been under so much stress, that it's messing with my brain."

"I think you need a break. I'm not a big fan of those mafia boys."

"I'm 22 dad."

"I know, I know. I'm just looking out for you is all."
"Why don't you come to sleep in your old room, your room is still exactly how it was before you left?"

"Yeah, maybe I'll get a better night's rest."

"What time is it in New York right now?"

"Hmm. I don't know, check your phone."

I smiled then walked up the stairs. "Good night dad."
"Good night Sofia."

I walked up the big flight of stairs, wanting to face time Matteo. I hope I don't wake him...

*connecting*"Hey, my love!" I smiled

"Hey, my love!" I smiled. "I miss you."
"I miss you too, so much. I'm actually driving right now so I can't talk for long. Is everything okay?" He asked as he covered his screen with his hands.

"That was weird." I said to myself.
"Everything is fine. I'm just having some dreams again."
"Oh...don't tell me you still dream of me. You know we could easily make your dreams reality, mi amour?" He smirked.

"Oh my god, no not that kind of dream! They're kind of like nightmares, I get them a lot."

"That sucks. People say when you get nightmares,  you are under a lot of stress. So I'm going to ask you again, are you sure you're okay?"

"I'm fine my love. Go focus on driving, I'll call you in the morning. I love you."

"Love you too."

Everything was as it seemed, I was finally happy! Aside from quarantining in my home country just to stay alive, I was happy. I could feel my connection with my father only growing bigger and stronger. This was the first time in a while where I felt okay! I rested my head down on my pillow and went to sleep with a smile on my face.
