Bahja laid down on her bed and looked up at the ceiling. She had a lot on her mind. This morning she yelled at Chresanto and after the several attempts to talk to her he finally gave up and left her alone. She wanted to know if Avery was playing with her heart. First he said he didn't feel the same way back and then at the mall he kissed her and told Manny how she was with him. She wanted to just scream in frustration. Her brother and Avery were driving her insane.
A sound coming from her balcony, immediately jerked her awake. She reached over and turned on her bedside lamp before trying to see what was out there. Before she could remove the blankets off her body, someone opened her balcony door. She gasped and was about to scream when Avery stepped inside. Bahja placed a hand to her chest and rested back. "What the hell are you doing here?" She hissed.
Avery walked over to her and got on his knees on the ground before resting his elbows on the bed, beside her body. "I'm here to talk to my baby," he said.
Bahja rolled her eyes and huffed. "Get out, Avery!" She whined. He covered her mouth and gestured her to lie down. When she finally did, he removed his hand off her mouth and smiled at her.
His hand clanged onto the hem of her tank top and he began to raise it above her stomach. Bahja gasped at the coldness of his fingers against her bare skin. She turned her head and looked at him, but he paid attention to her stomach. "Hey little guy... Or girl," he said chuckling. Bahja pressed her lips into a thin line and narrowed her eyes at him. "I just wanted to say I'm sorry for being an asshole of a daddy. Sorry for using bad words by the way," he winked. A smile started to make its way to Bahja's lips. His hands started to caress her stomach and Bahja closed her eyes. She definitely missed his touch. "I haven't been pleasing your mom lately but I have a lot planned out for the three of us. You know, first your dad is building a boxing club so in the future if you ever want to box you know who to look at," he joked. Bahja lightly laughed and opened her eyes again. Avery glanced at her before quickly moving his eyes back to her stomach.
"When I first heard about you, I had no reaction because I didn't know how to feel. I just want you to know I'm so so happy to have you and your mom in my life and I'll never let go of you guys. I'm going to be right here when you're born. If you're a boy I'll teach you how to play ball and get the ladies, and if you happen to be a girl, you better stay away from boys till your 99 and until your married," he said in a serious tone. Bahja giggled and bit her lower lip as she stared at Avery.
"I love you and..." He trailed off, now looking at Bahja. "I love your mom. I love her to death and I'll never let anything or anyone break us apart," he whispered. Bahja stared into his eyes and knew he was sincere. Happy tears began to form in her eyes. Avery kissed her stomach before standing up. As he was about to leave, Bahja grabbed his hand.
"Please tell me this isn't a joke," she whispered.
Avery shook his head no and looked at her before reaching down and kissing her forehead. He smoothed her hair and smiled at her. "I love you, Bahja. I'm sorry I couldn't tell you earlier. I thought if I built the boxing club and then got you to come live with me, it would be better. But I was wrong. I can't stay a second without thinking about you," he said.
Bahja smiled and let the tears fall from her eyes. "Sleep with me tonight," she ordered.
Avery chuckled and pulled his shirt off above his head before throwing it to the side. "By all means," he said smirking and crawling in beside her. He wrapped his arm around Bahja's waist and pulled her against his chest. "I love you, Bahja," he whispered before kissing her softly on the lips.
Bahja kissed him back passionately. She missed everything about him and he was definitely a good kisser. She pulled away and stared at his face. "I'm glad you understand how I feel," she whispered.
"I wasn't going to let a girl like you go. I promise we're going to get through everything," he assured her.
Bahja nodded. She thought for a good minute before she spoke, "You're going to have to speak to Chresanto, you know that right?" She asked him.
Avery let out a sigh and nodded. He pulled her closer to him and chuckled. "First, we sleep," he said.
"I agree. The baby's tired," she whispered as she stifled a yawn. Avery smiled and held her comfortably in his arms. This was perfect. This is how he wanted everything to be.
A loud knock on the door, the next morning, made Avery roll out of bed and hit the ground. Bahja jerked up and looked over the edge of the bed at Avery who winced in pain. "Bahja?" They both heard Chresanto say. Bahja giggled at Avery as he got back on the bed. She grabbed his shoulders and planted a quick kiss on his lips. "You have to go!" She whispered.
"Bee is everything okay? We need to talk," Chresanto said from the other side of the door.
"Just a minute!" Bahja yelled. She faced Avery and smiled. "C'mon, get out!" She urged him.
Avery pouted and shook his head before kissing her neck. She giggled and collapsed back on the bed with Avery on top of her. "C'mon babe, just a few more minutes!" He whined.
"BAHJ!"
Avery got annoyed now. He quickly got off Bahja and walked to her door. "No Babe!" Bahja hissed. He ignored her and immediately threw open the door so Chresanto could clearly see the both of them.
