Chapter 9

Bugatti walked into the building the next morning and found Khalil, Zonnique, and Zoey huddling around Bahja in the kitchen, while KeKe, Delano and Reginae sat on the kitchen bench watching everything. Confusion took over his face and he walked over to them before asking, "What happened?" Zoey and Zonnique glanced at Beez, as he watched Khalil put ice on Bahja's forearm. "I asked what happened," he spat, his eyes burning through Zoey's.

Zoey grabbed some towels for the dripping water before looking at Beez. "She burned herself," he stated.

"How?" Beez asked.

"Why do you care? She ain't your girlfriend." Reginae questioned, rolling her eyes and fixing her gaze on her nails.

Beez ignored Reginae's comment and pushed Khalil away before he grabbed Bahja's arm and took a look at it. She winced at his roughness and immediately he softened his grip on her. Zonnique stared back between Bahja and Beez. For some reason the two acted like they knew each other from way before this. This really confused her. Bahja kept her gaze on her arm as Beez inspected it. "What did you do?" He asked as he secured the ice pack back on her arm.

"I think she doesn't even know how to use the coffee machine. She poured it on herself instead," Keke said laughing. Bahja threw Keke a dirty look before she turned around from all of them, with her back facing them. She grabbed the mug she found before pouring herself coffee again.

Randy's eyebrows shot up and he quickly turned her around in his arms. "That's my cup," he told her. Bahja shrugged and placed her mouth on it before taking a sip. Beez watched as she drank the coffee down. Everyone around them stared in shock. Bahja was one bold girl.

Reginae got sick of watching this. She placed her palm against the kitchen counter hard, catching everyone's attention. "Okay, I'm not the only one who's thinking this. Do you two know each other? Because it seems like Bahja is dying to be with you. And I mean that in a 'lovey' way," she spat as she air quoted 'lovey'.

"No." Beez said, the same time Bahja said "Yes."

Beez glared at Bahja but she smiled and moved her pink highlights away from her face. She walked over to Nae and stared at her. "We fucked," she said before cocking her head to the side and smirking.

Nae's mouth dropped and she looked at Beez with surprise and disgust. "Are you fucking kidding me? You slept with the enemy's sister? Are you crazy!" Nae practically yelled.

She heard Delano whisper "Is U Mad Or Nah???" But she ignored him and continued to face Beez. Beez brought his hands down his face. "Guys, I didn't know she was Chresanto's sister before this. Nothing happened between us-

"Oh, it seems like a lot did," Keke giggled.

"This is too weird," Khalil said. Zoey and Zonnique nodded in unison and then followed Khalil outside of the building. Beez clenched his jaw before going to his room.

Bahja placed the ice pack on the kitchen counter before glaring down at Nae. "You should feel disgusted with yourself for ruining him," she said.

"Excuse me?"

"You heard me. Now, I know you're interested in Beez, but that's going to change soon," Bahja warned her before following Beez.

Bahja opened the door to Beez's room before closing it behind her. She watched Beez pace back and forth in the room and she quickly regretted what she said out there. When Beez saw Bahja he stopped in his spot and stared at her. "Why the fuck would you tell them that?" He asked.

Bahja rolled her eyes and leaned against the wall. "Shouldn't they know? Shouldn't they know that you slept with your enemy?" Her eyes gave off a seductive look which Beez couldn't shake off. "Avery, I don't get you. If you know the pain of losing someone close to you then why would you do the same thing back to someone else? I'm sure if Noah was-

"Don't say it," he cut her off. His eyes were venomous as he glared at her. He moved towards her and looked down to meet her gaze. "Don't talk to me about my brother, you have no right," he spat.

Bahja felt herself shaking. She quickly pushed him. "Just like how you have no right to bring me here!" she yelled. Tears started to stream down her face and Beez quickly looked away. His hands ran down his face as Bahja moved down to the ground. She pulled her knees to her chest as she sobbed. "I hate you so much. You don't know what it's like to be captured and forced to be with people you're afraid of. Why do you have to be so cold hearted?"

Beez turned his body and looked down at her. For some reason he felt his stomach twist seeing her like that. This was the girl who said the greatest words to him when they first met each other. "You know you can say he's dead but if you love him so much, he's actually alive right here." He remembered it word for word. He swallowed hard and before he could say something, there was banging on the door. Bahja flinched making Beez stare at her. He went and opened the door to be greeted by Zoey.

"J-Crew's gang is in our area. Just heard one of our man is down. Let's go," Zoey said. Beez Nodded and walked out with Zoey leaving Bahja alone.

Bahja wiped her tears and stood up before climbing into Avery's bed. She just wanted to curl up in a ball and disappear. That's how much this was all affecting her. Soon she was going to lose her sanity.

Beez pulled out his gun and started to fire shots at the men surrounding J. He found a few people falling over after being hit. He gestured Delano, Zonnique, Reginae, Keke, and Zoey to spread out. They all started to fire shots and soon everything turned into madness. Beez quickly crouched behind a garbage can when the men started to aim for him. He reloaded his gun, and retrieved back to his spot when he found J settling down his men. Beez indicated for everyone to stop as he walked over to J and stood eye to eye with him. "Tell Greg to hand me the money he lost at our gamble," J said.

Beez squinted, "You should've got the money then and there. You can't come here now and ask for it," he spat.

J laughed, "Fuck off Avery." Right then Beez felt a gash go right across his torso. He stumbled back and looked down to find blood seeping through his gray V-neck.

"Beez!" Zoey yelled. Without any hesitation, Zoey pulled the trigger, aiming right at J. The shot went straight through J's heart and he collapsed right there leaving everyone in shock. Beez held his stomach in pain, and grunted.

Beez's men began to chase J's men away, as J laid there, his body twitching. Zoey grabbed Beez's arm and wrapped it around his shoulder. "You're going to be okay, man," Zoey assured him. Beez nodded and walked away with Zoey, Keke, Zonnique and Reginae all following with worried looks.
