Chapter 1: Separation

A month after the evil prince of the enchanted forest cursed Prince Hikaru of Solaria, the king ordered that every spear, sword, knife and needle be destroyed in an attempt to prevent the curse. Though the subjects of Solaria had lost such essential tools in their lives, they were very loyal to their king and would do anything to save their future ruler.

A year had past and the queen gave birth to a second child, a boy with red hair, in contrast to his older brother's blue. They decided to name him Hyuga. This time, they celebrated his birth in secret as to not attract the attention of Helios, whom they feared might curse Hyuga like how he had cursed Hikaru.

Only a few selected nobles came to the castle to see the second prince. Hyperion came too but without Selene and Eos. They were now in the royal chamber, where the queen was laying in bed, holding little Hyuga. The king stood next to the bed.

Everyone in the room greeted the second prince, admiring how adorable he was with his magenta eyes and round face.

Hyperion glanced into Hyuga's eyes for a moment, still thinking of what his son had done to this child's poor brother. Suddenly, his green eyes widened, as if he had seen something within the boy.

"Excuse me, but may I speak to you two in private?" he asked the royal couple.

"Of course." the king replied. "Folks, may you please leave for a moment? King Hyperion and I need to have a talk." he said to the other nobles.

They followed the king's orders and left the room, leaving the spirit, the king and queen alone.

The queen asked Hyperion, "What is it that you want to talk about?"

"It's about Hyuga."

"What about my baby?"

"I saw it within him. He will be the one who will free his brother."

"What?!" the king and queen exclaimed in unison.

"You heard me right. He will be the one to break my son's evil spell!"

"Tha-That is wonderful! We wouldn't have to worry about losing our children anymore, dear!" the queen ecstatically said to her husband.

However, her joy was short-lived when she heard Hyperion sigh.

"What is the matter, my friend?" the king asked the spirit.

"I am sorry to say this but, you have to seperate Hikaru and Hyuga."

The king and queen gasped at this.

"But why?" the queen asked.

"Hyuga is fated to save Hikaru when the time of the curse comes. I fear that if Helios knows about the destiny of your second son, he would go after him and end him for good so that his curse would last forever."

"Please, isn't there any other way?" the king begged.

"Unfortunately, no. The best thing you could do now is to leave Hyuga into the care of another family. It's the only way to keep him safe." Hyperion explained sadly.

After a few moments of discussion, the rulers of Solaria reluctantly agreed to seperate their sons.

In disguise, they took baby Hyuga to the neighboring kingdom of Artemisium. There they met the kingdom's queen, the kind and soft-spoken Caroline Valhalla.

They revealed themselves to Queen Caroline and explained everything to her. Taking pity of the Asahis, she agreed to raise their child alongside her own son, Prince Lane. She was also informed that the king of spirits will be watching Hyuga on a day to day bases in order to guard him from Helios.

Meanwhile, back in Solaria, Hikaru would be cared for by the maidens of the castle as well as Hyperion's daughters so that he would be safe until the time that the spell would take hold of him.

It's kinda like the whole "love can thaw a frozen heart" thing from Frozen.
