'A few hours ago, I asked Ji Hwan to wake up because we will be making something really special. Knowing that he wouldn't want to be woken up, I told him we will be doing it for Eomma. Since he loves his Eomma so much as he does with me, he got up with half-opened eyes and I had to get him a glass of chocolate as his request. Afterwhich, we started moving in the kitchen. I went over to check my phone for the songpyeon recipe, as I had asked my mother in law. Pooh and I then went to make them.

'Appa, does it look funny?' he asked, laughing at the last songpyeon he made. It was sloppy, but then he laughed at it anyway.

I laughed along with him as I raised the one I made up. 'Well, Appa's look funny too.'

'Eomma can make this really pretty, Appa,' he said but continued doing how he did it anyway.

'Hey buddy, do you want to cook when you grow up?' I asked him as we made the rest of the songpyeons, which was one of Yejin's favorites. He thought about it for a moment and nodded.

'Appa, would these be okay?' Pooh asked me as he showed the pancakes he made, after we made the songpyeons.

'Oh yes, buddy. She will love that,' I said. He was actually helping me make a super breakfast for his Eomma, the light of our lives.

I can't honestly imagine living my life without Yejin on it. Five years and two kids later, my life has never been the same again. Our kids literally completed our lives and I can't wait to journey with them both.

'Appa, will Lilo help us when she is bigger?' Pooh asked as I poured the batter on the non-stick pan.

'Hmmm, maybe,' I said, as I am never sure whether she would love to cook or what.

'It's okay, Appa. Maybe she can help Eomma in the garden,' he said, as he flipped the pancake upside down. I was there to supervise him and make sure not to let him get scalded. He smiled at me as he flipped it perfectly. 'Appa, can we make it like Mickey Mouse?'

I looked at him and smiled. How can you be so sweet, Kim Ji Hwan?

'Sure we can,' I told him. 'Let's make some baby pancakes, shall we? For the ears?' And we proceeded with our work.

After we made the pancakes, we designed them to look like Mickey at his request once more and topped it with sliced strawberries and bananas and a few chocolate chips, but that actually ended in his tummy. I fried some bacon and gave him a few strips of it, which he happily ate. When we were done with the food, I arranged them neatly on a tray along with a cup of hot chocolate, since Yejin was breastfeeding Lilo. I know she misses the coffee so much but she said she will gladly sacrifice it for the kids. After all, she will be able to get them once Lilo is weaned.

'Are we ready?' I asked. Pooh was looking at the tray and was thinking deeply. Then after an aha moment, he then told me.

'Appa, where are the flowers?' he exclaimed softly.
