"*Huff* *Huff* Seems *huff* the demons brought through stronger reinforcements," I said to Jane once the surprise demon attack ended. There had been many mid and high-level demons in the attack and had slowly worn down our defences
"Yeah, but I heard we will be receiving some reinforcements of our own from the Sparadon and Arceon Nations with their new generals, apparently they graduated at the top of their classes and asked to be stationed here to help with the battle" Jane said as she sat down on the grass from exhaustion
"I heard that too, apparently they use some really unconventional weapons as they were the team of F/N, you know, the one who got the void awards" Beda said when she got to us after checking up on her national troops
I just nodded, after all, any reinforcements were good reinforcements after all, "As long as they know what they are doing it shouldn't be a problem" the Holy Sun Bow hero said as he to came over, Bronder must've gotten on Beda's nerves with that sentence as she snapped back at him
"I assure you that any general from our nation will far surpass the ones from yours!" it seems the old rivalry between the bow and spear hero was still going strong as ever. I sighed internally before breaking up what was sure to be a blood bath if it continued
"We do not have the time to fight among ourselves at this time, save your words for a later date" I commanded
'Why do so many bad things have to happen at once? First the missing noble due to demons, next some of my creations turned to the demons and now the heroes are restarting grudges so ancient they shouldn't even remember it, *Sigh* what a miserable year, at least there isn't a global pandemic'
Y/N POV
Akel and I walked through the streets of the city we had save while being worshipped like heroes, apparently they were all very appreciative of our help and some adventurers had even asked to join our party, but none of them were what I was looking for
I needed people who would do anything to survive while having the strength to do so, even turn on their own man if needed, the wolf among the sheep.
The 2 of us were currently going to the house of the general who Akel had Vampirified during the attack so that I could judge if she could be useful to our future plans and if she could be kept around, if not, well... the world would be shocked if a vampire suddenly went on a rampage
"We have arrived milord" Akel informed me as we stopped before the gates of a rather good looking house, even if it wasn't a manor or anything overly large it was definitely expensive as it was in the higher class area of the city
*Clank **Clank* *Clank*
Akel hit the gate knocker against the silver gate before waiting for someone to come open up for us. "Coming!" a voice yelled as a female in silver armour and ginger hair came running to the gate to open up for us
"Ah, mistress, welcome, welcome, is there any way I can serve you" the female who I supposed was the commander asked Akel with a happy attitude. "Yes Belloni, I would like to introduce you to my master, but we must speak in private" Akel whispered
Belloni gave a sharp nod before moving out the way and bowing to us as we walked past and into her house with her following us in shortly after, but not before checking the outside for any potential spies
"May I revert to my true form mistress?" Belloni asked Akel who just did a dismissive wave of the hand in response "Thank you mistress" the commander said as her hair turned white, her eyes yellowed and her skin lightened to an unhealthy looking pale

"What type of vampire are you?" I started asking as I circled around her, like a dragon stalking its prey. Belloni unconsciously stiffened under my gaze as she started to slightly twitch in fear but still managed to keep her voice steady
"My mistress has granted me her own blood for my first sip, and so I became a True Vampire" She responded. I chuckled slightly before going on to ask several more questions, some not even important or just embarrassing such as if she was still a virgin
But she answered them all without any hesitation or embarrassment, proving to me that she was truly worthy of serving under one of my 6 main servants "I am pleased with the servant you managed to collect, keep up the good work" I told Akel as I patted her shoulder
"T-Thank you Mmilord" Akel stuttered out, and I'm sure that if she weren't undead she would have had a large red blush on her cheeks, but I decided to play the dense idiot and proceeded to think of what Belloni could do to help my plans, the answer was quite simple really
"I want you to corrupt your fellow generals and even some of your own troops so that they may spread my control over as much of the army as possible, if possible get some nobles as well, the more under my control the easier it will be for me to take over" I commanded and received a loyal nod in response
"Good, then we will be on our way, do not fail me," I said in a deep voice before walking out and started heading back to the guild building. "Why are we going there, milord?" Akel asked in confusion once she realised where we were going
"We still need to increase the popularity of my name if we want me to be a viable option to lead the 2 empires once they fall" I said as I opened the guild hall doors
