Chapter 6

Rae's POV

I am in shock after what Alex tells me. "Honey..we need to go to the police and make a report.."

"No!" He yells and tears up.

"Then let's at least tell your dads." I try to reason.

"N-no I can't." He says breaking down in front of me. Thank goodness not many people are around us..I don't want him to be any more upset. The door opens to the restaurant and two very familiar faces walk in.

They both come over looking concerned. "Is everything okay with Alex?? Why is he crying?" Owen asks. Seth sits at his side and tries to comfort him. I watch as Alex hides his face in Seths neck.

Seth picks him up and pulls him into his lap. It's so sweet how well they still treat Alex. I explain to Owen what Alex told me and he goes from sad to angry in a matter of seconds. "I knew Ryan was no good.." he growls.

Seths POV

It kills me to see Alex like this..He is so upset and that hurts me. I remember the first day I really met him at the sleepover. Our sister and her friends were picking on him and he was so upset that day.

"Shhhh it's okay buddy..everything is going to be alright.." I whisper in his ear while rocking him slightly. After a couple minutes I smile at the sleepy looking Alex in my arms. He gives me a small shy smile.

"Want me to take you to Rae's car?" He nods and I lead him there. Soon Rae follows out after paying.

"Thank you Seth. We'll see you soon." She smiles sadly. I go back inside to Owen so we can get our lunch.

Rae's POV

We get back to the apartment and I walk in with Alex to see a very angry Corpse. "Where have you been?! It's 4:27 and I got a call from the school that you weren't at any of your classes after 11!"

I notice Alex flinch and step back a bit. "I-I'm sorry.."

"It's okay I was just worried sick I thought something happened..I know Mr.Parker but when all your other teachers did I got nervous..I'm guessing you were with Rae?" He asks.

"Yes he was with me Corpse and I feel that yelling at him right now isn't the best thing." I explain.

"I know I was just worried.."

"I-I'm g-gonna go to m-my room.." Alex goes to his room and we hear the door shut.

"What happened today..?" He asks me.

"It's not my place to say..you need to talk to Alex on this one. I have to go meet up with Imane now. Bye.."

"Bye."

And with that I leave the apartment.

Alex's POV

I lay curled up in my bed. I changed into one of daddy syks hoodies that is oversized on me. I pull my knees up to my chest under the hoodie. My door opens and dad walks in. I feel the bed dip beside me and I look up at him with teary eyes.

"Buddy..talk to me please.."

"You're going to hate me.." I say and my voice breaks.

"I could never hate you. I mean never."

"O-okay..well I told Ryan I was moving away and he beat me up..Now I have a black eye and the busted lip..in history class Ryan..well um..he touched me. And it wasn't the first time dad. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry it's all my fault I should have told you I'm sorry.." I can barely think straight and I feel like I'm dying.

His jaw clenches and his hands ball into fists. "He hit you AND he touched you?!" All I can do is nod. Syk walks in and I feel like a mess.

"Syk stay here with Alex. I'm going to fight a kid." He walks out and I'm left in daddy syks arms. He runs his hand through my hair.

"C-can I shower p-please..?"

"Yes of course." I get up and go to the bathroom. I don't bother to take my clothes off. I just turn the water on really hot and sit in the shower. Maybe things will get better when we move..
