Chapter 10

Alex's POV

I wake up and to my alarm and groan. Why school..why. I put my paci away in the box and get ready for school. My outfit is my black jeans, my favorite oversized pastel blue hoodie and sneakers. I put on some bracelets to cover my scars then pull my hoodie sleeves over them.

My hair sweeps over my face and I put on my glasses as well. No contacts today..I'm too tired for that. I put Mr.Rabbit in my backpack. I also put in a notebook, pencil case and laptop inside too. I go to my bathroom and brush my teeth and finish getting ready.

When I go downstairs I get my lunch from the fridge they dad made me and I place it in my bag. I grab my keys and phone with earbuds and play music. Scribbling a quick note saying I left for school. I go to the bus stop.

The music drowns out the rest of the world for me and I get snapped out of my thoughts by a tap on my shoulder. "Hai!" I turn to see Toby.

"Hi.." I smile and turn down my music. Tommy shows up out of breath just as the bus is pulling up.

"I-I ran here..I woke up late.." I giggle a little. Toby shoves him jokingly.

"Too much Minecraft. You Should have slept earlier." Toby jokes. I smile a little at their friendship. The bus shows up and they sit next to each other I sit next to a guy with brown hair and blue/gray eyes.

"Hey! I'm Karl." The boy smiles. "I'm friends with those dimwits you got on the bus with. I see their heads pop over the seat in front of us.

"Hey!" Toby says.

"We aren't dimwits!" Tommy says finishing for him. I break out into a fit of giggles. It's so bad I almost can't breathe. I feel an arm wrap around me and I look over to see that it's Karl.

"Breath buddy." I giggle a little and smile. "You never told me your name."

"I'm Alex." I say.

"It's nice to meet you little one." Oh no..not that nickname.

"I'm not little.." I pout.

"Yes you are." He pokes at my cheek.

"Nu uh.." I say and get off the bus when we get to the school.

"Yes. Look at you, tiny. It's adorable though."

I'm under weight for my age and short compared to him being 5'11.

"Well quit being tall.." I huff.

"I can't do that for you, tiny." I can't help but feel little in his presence. We go to the office and get my schedule. "Oh cool! We have all the classes together." Karl says getting excited.

I giggle and he leads me to class with Tommy and Toby. I actually feel like I belong. And it's a great feeling. Let me just say that. I can tell,this year might be great.
