How it Began

Percy's P.o.v.-

My day was going to be great. I had planned to ask Annabeth to have a picnic at the beach just us. I was headed down to get things ready when I saw Annabeth was already down there. She was sitting there kissing one of the new campers. It was not just any new camper though it was him.

Flashback

It was a warm day, and I was on border patrol. I sweating in my armor counting down minutes till I could leave when I heard the cry of a young boy from the distance. The boy soon came into view, and I gasped. He was being chased by a hell hound. I had to help. I jumped in the way of the hellhound and fought. After several minutes the hellhound was dust in the wind. The sound of horse hooves came from the top of the hill. The boy grabbed my sword from my hand.

"Percy are you okay. Who is this?" Chiron said.

A bunch of other campers were behind him. "I'm Nathan. I just slayed a hellhound while he just sat and watched." Nathan said.

"Percy, I am very disappointed in you." Chiron said, not giving me time to say a word.

I opened my mouth to speak when suddenly a green light came from beside me. Above his head glowed a trident. This "Nathan" boy was my half brother.

To Present

Slowly Nathan took all my friends from me. The only ones left were Thalia, Annabeth(or so I though), and Nico.

Now looking at Annabeth kissing my half brother, I felt an anger bubble inside me.

"What are you doing." I demanded.

Annabeth whirled around "Percy this is my new boyfriend Nathan."

"That's right." Nathan smirked. "Go away loser. No one wants you here."

So I did. I ran. I was broken from inside out.

Escaping the camp would have been easy except I found Thalia and Nico blocking my path.

They saw the look on my face right away. "What happened?" Thalia asked.

"Annabeth." I said.

"What about Annabeth?" Nico asked.

"I found her on the beach kissing him." I cried.

"Annabeth did that." Thalia shouted. "I am going to murder both of them."

"I'm leaving, so it won't matter." I said frankly.

"Don't leave." Nico begged.

"You will be killed right away." Thalia agreed.

"I have to go." I said.

"At least let us come with you." Thalia said.

"You have stuff to live for here." I said.

"This not an your choice. We are coming." Nico said.

"Fine. " I muttered.
