Nate was wandering around town with scratches and bruises. He couldn't remember anything that had happened when he was taken. He felt so alone, but then he remembered where the school was! So he ran as fast as he could to get to school!
He ran up to me and tackled me like a bull dozer! He was so happy! He saw all of his friends. We all thought that he was dead, but he wasn't . What really happened was a robbery took place at his house on Thursday morning. The men took his entire family hostage, and wouldn't let them go until Nate's father told them where their safe was. Nate's dad never told them so the men threatened to kill his father and mother. But Nate's dad took their gun and shot the men. His brother, Jonah, was beaten, but Nate took him to the hospital, before Nate came to school. His mother was still passed out in the field wih her husband.
It was a joy to know that Nate wasn't dead. But there was another problem!
