Hi! My name is Rebecca Schmidt. It all started ... The worst day of my life. I had gone to the school my entire life. That doesn't mean I ever fit in. Sadly, I was bullied, a lot. I'm not even close to perfect. God created me to be just the way I am so in His eyes, I'm flawless.
It was a rainy day in Coffeyville, Kansas. I was outside walking to my next class, Science, when the popular girl, Lindsay, pushed me over. I tripped and fell right into a puddle. I was drenched in rain water! I had dropped my books and they were all soggy.
Then, one of my best friends, Gabby, helped me up and rushed me to the nearest bathroom to dry off. With every step, you could hear girl and boys of all ages laughing at me. Gabby started yelling "Stop laughing, it's not funny!".
Once I was almost dry we started walking back to class. It seemed as if everyone in that class had forgotten about me. Like I was invisible or something! I never imaged being this humiliated!
I sat down in my assigned seat, in the back of the class, watching people look back at me then giggle and whisper to their friends. I was used to it by now. Four years of bullying, you would think it would've been resolved. You thought wrong.
Science was one of my worst subjects, just getting a B in that class was impressive! Our teacher was hard core when it came to learning! I was just ready to get out and go home. All of the class had some homework, but I finished mine in class so I could play video games later the night!
