Next morning, Toby woke up with a start to a severe banging on his door.
"Toby! Get Up! We need you right now!"
It was Charlotte. She sounded extremely tense. "Go downstairs, I'll join you."
Toby noted the time, it was only 6 A.M. Funny, the training was to begin at 9.
When Toby joined them downstairs, he found that Aurelia's house was turned into the command center for a space station. There were controls, screens and dozens of people operating on them. The atmosphere was of sheer panic. Aurelia found Toby and spoke in a manner so tense Toby was caught off guard.
"Toby, things have gone haywire! We cannot wait any longer, we have to act now. If we let it grow anymore, it will eat everything in the universe." She pointed towards one of the screens. On the screen, Toby noticed a huge gaping hole in the sky from which flaming petals of black rose fell dancing towards the earth, lighting things on fire.
"Was anybody able to reach Daniel yet?" Aurelia called out to the people in front of her. They responded in the negative. Aurelia started sinking down to the floor. This was utter chaos!
At this point Aurelia was hyperventilating. She ignored Toby's question completely and got herself together. She stood up and took control of the room. "Okay, everyone. We need to contain this situation. NOW. Charlotte, I need you to get a hold of Daniel by any means possible. Ricardo, get in touch with the Ministry and ask them to send a report. Zoran, make arrangements to vacate the area of the outbreak."
"Charlotte, Toby. You may have to jump into the epicentre of the outbreak anytime now. Just be ready."
Toby was still not completely awake; he felt a little groggy. He took a step back from the screens and sat down on what appeared to be an office chair. The moment he sat he dashed down, or perhaps up (he could not really tell) at an unimaginable speed. He went on and on for several seconds before landing right in the interview room where he had his first incident. He was right there back in that chair he felt so uncomfortable in, except this time, it wasn't him. It was as if he could see himself, like an out of body experience. He looked around the room, the low ceilings,

Toby heard things he was clearly not meant to hear. He was taken aback. He felt dizzy, and it felt as if the inside of his head was being knocked with a hammer. Dhum dhum dhum. He took a step back and knocked over the hand soap. Dhum dhum dhum "Who's there?" they knew he was here. But he needed to close his eyes, rest them, only for a moment. He took another step and landed inside the bathtub he had fallen in. He'll wake up and leave soon. "Dhum dhum dhum" That darned sound just wasn't stopping. He opened his eyes and found himself in his room. There was a frantic and rampant knocking at the door. A quick glance at his bedside clock revealed the time to be 6:00 am. He tumbled out of his bed, barely able to walk straight, fumbled with the door handle and opened it. It was Charlotte. "Toby! Get Up! We need you right now!" Deja Vu. The events of the previous night slowly came back to him. He remembered everything. "No, Charlotte, YOU listen to me. We have to leave now. Just trust me. I will explain everything on the way. But right now, we need to leave." "But Aurelia, she needs us," Charlotte said, urgency apparent. "I'm not so sure we can trust her anymore."
