Warning: some blood, feel free to skip if you don't like that. Enjoy otherwise!

You couldn't figure out how long you were in that cursed coffin. It was to dark and quiet, aside from the occasional rumble of your hungry stomach. Undertaker had said a couple days, but you figure with his newly discovered insanity, it could well have been four days.

Snapping your eyes open when you felt the coffin move, you almost dreaded the thought of the lid opening. To see Undertaker again. However, you were wanting to talk to anyone, before you lost your mind.

Grimacing against the light as the lid was peeled off, you squinted at him.

"Well, my dear, how are you feeling?" He asked, with his normal cheery voice. It made you wonder which voice was his real voice. You still don't like him, but in order to escape this mad man, you could play along.

"Hungry." You grumbled, finding your voice dry. Your response earned a laugh from him.

"I would imagine. Two days will do that, even to a grim reaper."

It really was only two days? It felt like an eternity. Watching him unlock the cuffs, you sat up and rubbed your wrists and ankles. Staying in one position had made you stiff and sore. Accepting his help in getting out of the coffin, you staggered a little as he lead you to a chair.

"So, what do you think now dear?" He questioned handing you some tea and a dog bone shaped biscuit, "Ready to hear why I did what I did?"

"I'm not sure." You grumbled, "You were my best friend. I trusted you, yet you killed Will and had me burred alive. If I was still a human, I would have died."

"I wouldn't have allowed that dear." He chuckled.

"I guess I don't really have a choice, but to hear you out." As much as you didn't want to. He seemed excited though.

"Well, one could say I got really impatient." He started, "You see it was several decades ago, when I discovered my feelings for you. It was during one of the times I was comforting you from a failed mission. I remember the day very well. You came in crying and injured due to a demon. I knew then that I had to protect you from everything. Even men who you think are good for you."

Keeping quiet, you glanced down at your tea. You remember that day well. That horrible golden eyes demon, managed to steal the soul from you and nearly ended you. You had stayed in the Undertaker's parlor just to recover.

"I have to get something in the back for work. When I get back though, I will answer any question, you have." Watching him leave, you pondered what he said.

You never thought about Undertaker like that. He was only just a friend and nothing more. Considering he spent most of his time in the mortal world, you never considered a distance relationship with him.  There was never a need or a reason for him to kill to save you.

Hearing the bell to the parlor ring, you did your best to not draw much attention. That didn't work though, when you felt their presence beside you. Glancing up at the person, you froze when you recognized the golden eyes demon. A smirk on his face, making you want to punch him.

"What are you doing here, scum?" You hissed.

"Looking for my butterfly." He scoffed, making you glare at him. Before you could snap at him, he grabbed you and heaved you onto his shoulder, with ease. Making you scream and kick around to escape.

"Let go demon!" Screaming that, you smashed your glass against his head, though it didn't do anything beside injure him a little. He completely ignored it though. Only pausing when a scythe blade rested against his neck.

"She said let her go." Looking up at Undertaker's darker tone, you noticed he looked absolutely furious. Even the golden eyes demon seemed to tell that this wasn't normal for Undertaker. Setting you down, he kept a painfully tight grip on your arm.

"The little butterfly is mine." he growled with his eyes now glowing red. Anyone with half a brain would know that the demon is going to use his powers in this fight. Apparently, Undertaker didn't care, because before you could blink, the demon's arm, that had a grip on you, was cut off. Shaking the arm off, you moved behind Undertaker. Blinking in surprise that you easily sought protection with him after he burred you alive for two days.

"(Y/N), hide behind the counter and don't come out until I tell you." He ordered. It's rare for him to use your actual name. Just that along was a sign to you that he was serious. Doing as he said, you covered your ears in an attempt to drown out the animalistic growls and curses. It sounded like the shop was getting absolutely demolished. Then it quieted down. You wanted to look, to see who won. You shrunk against the counter though, when a dark figure moved around towards you.

"Dear, it's okay now." Undertaker assured you, carefully prying your hands away from your head, "I'm sorry that demon scared you. I wasn't expecting him or for him to lay a hand on you."

Noticing that his eyes were directed at your arm, you looked to see a bruised hand print already forming on your arm. That demon was going to take you away and hurt you, no doubt. Probably even kill you, knowing you were weaker than it. Going tense, when you felt Undertaker pull you onto his lap, you glanced up at him in confusion.

"You're shaken up." He hummed rocking you, "I told you I would protect you from anything that tries to hurt you. Wither it be another grim reaper or a demon. I'll kill it, easily."

"Did you kill it?" You questioned trying to move to look over the counter, but he pulled you back onto his lap. It was obviously a silly question, but that was a powerful demon and you wanted to see how Undertaker handled him.

"Maybe, don't look. I got a little carried away." He chuckled like it was normal to laugh at killing. Nodding, you relaxed against him, to wrap your mind around what just happened. He killed a demon to save you. Strangely enough, that made you feel safe. More safe than you felt in a while, even with William. No one had done that for you.

Hugging him, you relaxed more when he kissed your head, "I deeply care for you (Y/N). Give it time and I'm sure you'll care for me too."

After the way he protected you, it wouldn't surprise you if you did care for him at some point. With the recent death of Will, it would take a while.

"It will take a long while." I sighed, "I really liked Will, but not even he protected me like you did."

"Is that a yes then?" He questioned seemed to gain more hope and excitement. Closing your eyes with a tired sigh, you nodded. Your eyes widening and your heart jumping when he suddenly kissed you.

"I'm glad, dear, and don't worry. I'll only kill when needed." He promised, with a laugh. His calm attitude,  made you smile. Maybe it won't be so bad with him.
