Glancing out the window, you grew more worried as you saw the fire continue to grow. You have no idea how this was going to end. You prayed that a lot of the people were able to get away. Being the granddaughter of the Queen made you safe behind the walls of the castle and the guards. Nonetheless, the head butler, Ash, insisted you stay in your room for even more protection.

"Get the guards!" You heard someone scream, confusing you. Opening your door, the closest guard to you stopped to bow.

"What's happening?" You demanded.

"The Queen's Guard Dog killed her majesty. Please stay in your room your highness." He reported running off. Feeling a surge of fear, you quickly shut your door and locked it. Happy that Ash had ordered for you to stay in your room. You're grandmother was dead. Just when you thought this night couldn't get any worse with the fire. Your only member family died. Jumping as the doors to your balcony swung open, you looked over as Ash flew in. It didn't surprise you, since you already knew he was an angel.

"Your Highness, are you okay?" He questioned. Knowing there was no point in lying, you shook your head, trying to suppress your tears.

"England is on fire and my grandmother was murdered." You whimpered, "I just want this night to end."

Catching his smile, you got angry that he was smiling at your frustration. Tensing when he cupped your face.

"There is always a plan." He assured you, "After this fire, only the pure will stand. The sinners will get what they deserve in the after life. The end will be the beginning of a new era in England. One ruled by a pure being, chosen by the lord. You, my angel."

Trusting his words, you nodded, though you didn't care for all the death. He seemed to know because, he kissed you're head to put you at ease.

"Rest for now. When you wake up, the world will be a better place." He promised, leading you to the bed to tuck you in. Nodding, you closed your eyes for what felt like a brief second.

Only jumping awake when you heard your balcony door open again. Watching with wide eyes, you briefly relaxed when you saw it was only Ash, though something was different. He was clearly injured and his once beautiful white wings were now tattered and torn. One even nearly falling off completely. Gasping at his state, you rushed to him to help him in.

"What happened?" You demanded, sitting him in a chair before you went to get a rag to clean his wounds.

"A small fight with a demon. Nothing serious." He tried to promise you.

"Ash, you're wings are nearly falling off and you're bleeding. That's serious." You lectured, trying to not cry, "Why were you fighting a demon?"

"He was trying to ruin the plan and it seemed he succeeded in some way." He grumbled, standing and pulling his jacket off. Along with his wings, making you gasp. Horrified, you looked up at him as he frowned. You didn't bother asking if he was hurt, because you're sure having wings torn off does hurt.

"So, what happens to you?" You asked, "Can you go back to heaven?"

His silence was the answer to your question, "I'm a fallen angel now, (Y/N). No longer pure. Though perhaps this is best for me. I was destined to fall when I associated myself with the royal family."

"How can you say that? If you were going to fall then you should have stayed away from us and continued your plan elsewhere." You growled, wiping the tears from your eyes. Blinking at him when he suddenly kissed you. Succeeding in silencing you and making you stop crying though.

"How could I stay away from such a perfect being?" He questioned, " If I can be with you until the day you die, then falling will have been worth it. Even if we're not together in the after life. Angels are not to fall for the daughter or sons of man, but falling for you was unavoidable."

Feeling at a lose for words, you could only stare at him in shock. You never thought he loved you. You thought you were to impure for an angel to love you. Yet he does and even became the very thing he hates for you. If that wasn't sacrifice you don't know what is. Smiling, you affectionately kissed his head.

"Thank you for everything you've done Ash. I would love to have you here with me." You grinned, hugging him.

He was definitely right yesterday. The end will be the beginning for some many things. The end of the fire would bring unity among your people in England.  The end of your grandmother's life will be the beginning of your reign. The end of Ash's purity will be the beginning of the love story of you two.
