I hear a scream, and jump up , the maze doors start to open and I start to run through them. As I'm running I start to have second thoughts about this. Firstly, now I've done this, if I come back can they forgive me?will they?
Or what if they find out I'm a girl , and I'm still in the maze, will they respect me still?
Oh and I'm sure Newt suspects something , I'm very sure- then I'm cut of as I hear a boy screaming at the top of his lungs;"Laura, Laura ! Where are you , where are you? I can't see the stars Val, I cant see them." Then I hear Raziels weeping.
Oh my when the runners hear him they'll go straight to him. I've got to get ther before they do. I start to run faster, at a full sprint. Then bang goes my nose in the floor. Face planting my self into the wall, the shape of my face engraved into the floor.
"Uugh." "Hey watch it . I'm speaking to you Laura, ya listening? " "Raziel, oh my god , I heard you screaming , you have to shut up."my voice hushed.
"Whys your voice like mine?. Answer that first."
So I take my voice manipulator of and tell him about the gladers and all of that. He sighs and gestures for me to help him up, he was always so lazy. Ugh! Why is he so heavy. Even though I'm strong, I pretend to act like he's really really,heavy.
He starts to laugh , I do to . My hoods off and we hear voices. Quickly I pull him up to a wall and gesture for him to be quiet. Hopefully they won't see us.
"I wonder where that shank is? Y'know, cause normal shanks don't jusy want to go in the maze every shucking day" that must be Minho , the asian kid .
"Well , I don't think the shanks normal anyway his voice doesn't suit his build, ya get me. And why would he cover his face? Unless he's really ugly. And I'm sure Newt suspects something of him , like he doesn't beleive a word that shanks said." That must be Ben.
But why are they running together, unless Alby has made them, i hope not.
"Ugh, oh god Val-" but Raziel doesn't finish his sentence, if he whispered it, it was covered upbythe hasps of the runners, and he falls tothe ground
He had a strong hold on me so I fall down with him, but I catch my fall , and graze my hand. I didn't have enough time to pull my hood up, so both runners end up staring at me. I glare back and they say something intelligent like"uh , um..".
"What" , I snap back in my coldest and hardest voice I could make. But only sounds like my normal voice, in my head I cringe ever so slightly and at this moment I finally know what it feels like to feel embarrassed? Or maybe cringy? I have know idea.
"Well? You shanks gonna help me or not?"
"But your, your a girl" both say in unison. So with that said , voice manipulator back on and so is my hood.
"Tell anyone, and I will hurt you where it hurts most." I growl . They both nod in agreement and quickly pick Raziel of the floor, one arm slung on each shoulder.
Newts pov
She doesn't think im watching, she doesn't think I know, but I do think she knows I'm suspecting something bloody fishy about her. And yeah I said she . I thought it was quite obvious, but then she only slammed into me, nobody else. And it had to be me, she might be quite skinny, but it bloody well hurt.
I see her now , and she's starting to run into the maze. She must know who was screaming last night, cause anyone who wasn't insane , or a runner, would go out I to the maze and risk their life.
Wow this is making me sound lile some bloody stalker. Well I better go and tell Alby, if no one has already, and tell him to ask the runners to look for her, sorry I mean him.
