Newts Pov
Did she just say that she had a sister in the maze and she's dead? God she has had a bad day.
"Did you just say she? And dead?" Gally and his big mouth, cant he just shut up for one bloody minute.
"Hey can't you just bloody shut up!" I say.
"Whatever, I dont have time for games, can't you see he's dying?" Came a firm feminine voice. Something like a gas mask on the floor, she starts to get up , and takes her hood off, her big sun glasses on.
"Well Newt was right you are a girl, wow now we have girls in the glade, a girl glader , huh, whats your name ,shank?" Says Alby.
"Didn't you hear me , or do I have to repeat my self?, I said he's dying. Your the leader of this maze , or whatever, so , if he dies , his death is your responsibility. So save him." She pokes him on his chest , her voice so stable and gaze steady , she said it like she was proclaiming it. "Now, or do I have to repeat it again?"
"Med jacks ! Over here take him to the homestead , get him a bed and give him some medicine." He said this while never leaving her gaze "and spread the word , we've got a gathering. About this shank"
Gally slaps her back and she flinches. He looks confused and tries to say something , but whatever his question was , the grass answers it, his face full of dirt.
Valentinas pov
"Always expect the unexpected, thats rule one kid, get up before I snap your neck!"
"No, rule one , don't hurt any gladers."
"Actually that doesn't apply to me , because firstly im not a glader, I actually know who I am,amd I remember my past, secondly I have a home , a family. And thirdly because I built this place. So if you want to argue about who has a higher status, I have proof , I have all the time in the world , it's not like your going any where soon, are you? " I laugh , a bitter echo of past feelings.
"you built this place,this prison ?!?" asks Newt quietly.
"yeah i did ,got a problem? cause guess what ? your stuck here and your no where near in finding and exitt. Dont call this place a prison because its not, well it wasn, this place was a city, mega city 4 to be exact , this might have been your home once aswell." I retorted , his face looked shocked but, you know what I dont care.
Then I did the unforgivable and shot him, well not Newt but Raziel.
"Be brave , brother , your entering that which is not known to most of us." Then the sound of the gun as I pull the trigger and he smiles and salutes quickly.
Then he's dead and all I can think is what have I done, what have I done!
Then I turn around to shocked faces , flipped my hair and smile, as smug as I can .
Newts pov
Oh my god , she just shot her brother and now shes smiling like she couldn't care less.
Minho is the first to respond.
"Wht the hell , you've just shot your brother through the head and your smiling like its nothing ! Dont you care? Thats your brother! "He says the last bit slowly.
She looks at him and says slowly, "its not your business. And so what he was gonna die anyway so I just put him through less misery then he would have been!" Its amazing how her voice never breaks, she is eerily calm.
"Yeah , well the medjacks could have saved him! "
"Really , cause you wanna know something?, where not like you. Our immune systems are different we don't react to things like you do. So , as I said before, keep out of my business and I'll stay out of yours."
