the 40's

tony: i'd like to introduce our newest member y/n y/l/n

you take a deep breathe and walk around the corner with tony and see the whole time sitting at a conference desk. someone catching your eye though. so familiar.

you: steve?

steve: y/n?

he looks confused and almost like tears filled his eyes.he gets up and hugs you tightly. you both feel like crying seeing each other's faces again for the first time in 70 plus years. for the first time since the 1940s.

tony: wait how do you two know each other

you: well, i was taken by hydra during the war and while they were experimenting on me, they did something to make me not age as quickly. they were trying to replicate the serum they wanted a female super soilder.

bruce: well did it work?

you: everything's a little fuzzy i don't know

steve: i- it's so good to see you

you: you too steve

tony: steve show her to her room

steve leaves out his hand to you and you take it. you start catching up about the outside world and life. you guys eventually get to your new room

steve: well this is it he says opening the door and leaning against the doorframe

you: thanks steve, this is so crazy

steve: yeah uh hey y/n?

you: yeah?

steve: god ive always dreamt of telling you this. i never stopped loving you. i never forgot about you.

you and steve had this undeclared thing during the war. he was the love of your life.

you: i never stopped either steve you drop down your bags and kiss him. he kisses you back passionately and you come out of the kiss and touch foreheads

you both smile at each other and he helps you unpack and settle in.

apparently tony has "family nights" with everyone so we all ate dinner at this big table then we watched a movie. everyone was gathered around and tv on sofas, chairs, and the floor. you were sitting next to steve and he had his arm around the couch behind you. you decide to lean into his chest and he holds you. he takes your hand and starts rubbing his thumb against it. you felt safe and at home. at home because you were with steve, not in the building.

the next day was filled with tests by bruce and tony running through my blood and DNA. they were getting anything we could on me. all you knew was that u felt like you were going to pass out. steve was rubbing your back there to comfort you. tony was talking to F.R.I.D.A.Y. about my results

tony: FRIDAY read y/n's bloodwork to me

FRIDAY: of course mr stark. y/n y/l/n. born in 1918. former member of HYDRA. super soilder serum dectected.

tony falls back into his chair stunned. bruce's jaw is agape at the results

tony: kid, as far as we know, you're the first female super soilder

you: oh my god

you turn to steve in shock and hug him. you were getting somewhat of a normal life back, and at least you were with steve.
