TRIGGERFINGER

Rowan and Beatrix had been talking for a while now. Not just about Shane but also about Rowan's past.

Beatrix had found out that Rowan had grown up in Atlanta. She had an older brother and a younger sister. Her parents were migrants from Belgium. The family moved right after their oldest was born, so Rowan was born in America but her brother wasn't.

Beatrix also found out that the girl didn't like talking much about her family. She only told funny stories about what she did when she was younger. Beatrix never found out the names of Rowan's siblings either, but she wasn't going to force the girl to speak about it. She would tell her when she was ready.

"Come on, ladies. Tea is ready!" Time had passed so quickly and Winston was standing next to them telling them that it was time to eat.

"Tea? No food?" Rowan asked the older boy while they were walking toward the farm.

Tonight they were eating in the big house, again. Some of the women used the big kitchen to prepare a meal for everyone.

"Yes, there is going to be food. It's just something we say in England." He patted the girl on the head. That was definitely his favourite thing to do.

"It's the same as dinner." Beatrix cleared it up even more when she saw that Rowan still wasn't following.

They sat down at the table, together with the others in their group. They were talking about Rick and Glenn. They hadn't returned yet.

That's when they lost Lori.

"Carl, " Shane said. "When's the last time you saw your mother?"

"This afternoon."

Beatrix and Carol headed out to talk to Daryl. He had moved his tent away from the rest because they bothered him too much. He also didn't want to be around Winston and Beatrix being all lovey-dovey with each other.

"We can't find Lori and the others aren't back yet either." Carol started the conversation.

"Yeah, " he replied while doing something else. "That bitch must've gone off looking for 'em."

"What?" Carol said.

"How d'ya know that D?" Beatrix asked him.

"She asked me to go. I told her I was done being an errand boy."

"D, come on." Beatrix tried to reason with him.

"Don't do this, please?" Carol begged. "I've already lost my girl."

"That wasn't my problem neither." Daryl went back to messing with something.

Carol turned around to walk away.

"Good job, D." Beatrix had to scold her older brother, he said nothing but just scoffed and brushed her off.

They all came back together.

"She's not at the barn."

"I checked the yards, she's not there."

"Well, where is she?" Carl whimpered.
