A young woman sat there on a hospital bed with tears streaming down her face and her husband holding her hand. Both of them were trying not to scream in pain; the boy only because the woman giving birth was squeezing his hand so hard.
"Babe, you can scream," he urged his wife, "No one's gonna judge you." With that sentence, she let out a piercing scream.
"That's it," the doctor shouted, "keep breathing; keep pushing!" The girl groaned as she tried pushing again.
"Keep going babe," the boy gulped, "You're doing good. You're almost there." Just minutes after his encouraging, a loud cry filled the room, causing the couple to relax.
"Sir, would you like to cut the umbilical cord?" the doctor asked kindly. Blush rushed to the young man's cheeks as he nodded his head, quickly letting go of his wife's hand and making his way to the doctor. A nurse waited patiently beside the doctor with a blanket for the screaming baby. Soon, the doctor handed the boy the small body swaddled in a blanket.
"Congratulations," the doctor smiled, "On your new baby boy."
The mother watched as her baby boy wiggled in his daddy's hands. His light blonde hair was wet and sticking to his forehead, but it didn't cease to compliment his white transparent skin. His eyes were squeezed shut, refusing to open as a high pitched scream left his soft, red lips. Panic flashed through the young man's eyes for a split second, before he gently started bouncing. The piercing screams slowly faded and turned into soft whimpers. Soon the room was filled with the comforting sound of humming, coming from the young man holding the baby. 'No wonder he got so quiet,' the woman thought to herself, letting a light chuckle escape her lips, 'He's just like his daddy.' Her eyes were struggling to stay open, but she didn't want to miss the beautiful moment. The girl smiled watching her husband and their beautiful son bonding for the first time. Soon, her brown eyes were met with the young man's green ones and a smile was flashed her way. She used the last of her strength to smile bigger, before her eyes closed and let sleep take her over.
