"Trainee Operator Ignis Nakamura, reporting in. It's my pleasure to meet you, Seha-senpai!"
That was the greeting given to him by one of the newer additions to his team, Ignis. The young girl in front of Seha seemed to be an Oni judging from the horns on the top of her head, though he couldn't be too sure. She was dressed in a trainee Operator uniform, seeming ready to respond to any question he would ask or comment he might make.
Seha looked up from his desk from the heavy load of paperwork that was assigned to him by Ch'en to take a better look at the trainee Operator. She had addressed him as a 'senpai,' meaning that she was from the Higashi area. That term of phrase was definitely from that country. That aside, Ignis seemed to be a capable worker at first glance. Organized, confident voice, and politeness. Hopefully, they would get along just fine.
"Er- Welcome to the team, Ignis. I assume you're the one I will be giving the tour of the LGD to today?" Seha asked, vaguely remembering what his orders were. Missing out on morning training with Ch'en was not something to be taken lightly. If it weren't for the Reunion crisis, he would probably be in the emergency room with broken bones. He had fortunately been assigned a ton of paperwork and was told to introduce the new would Operator around. After three days, he would be assigned back to Rhodes Island for his first patrol mission. And on a side note, he was not allowed to miss training events from now on. Otherwise.. the results wouldn't be very pretty.
"Yes, and I met Seth-senpai earlier as well, though it was an accident.." the orange hair Oni mumbled, looking as if she was recalling the earlier events that had transpired between her and the other Operator to their team.
Ch'en had created a team and had placed Seha and another Operator in, whose name was Seth. There were meant to be five people in this squad, but there were just currently the three of them. He had gotten along fine with Seth. It was more of a silent, but understanding mutual agreement: "You don't bother me and I won't bother you." That was something Seha was more than fine with, though he felt that they should at least get to know each other a bit more.
Another thing about Seth was that he was a Sarkaz. That was an uncommon sight in Lungmen, as Sarkaz were generally disliked among most nonInfected places. It was simply due to the fact that Sarkaz were supposedly more prone to Infection. That being said, Seth wouldn't be around in the squad much. His primary role was being a spy within the Reunion and feeding whatever information he could get back.
"That's one less thing to do. Did you receive any other instructions from the superintendent about what should be done?" Seha asked, leaning back onto his chair. He hoped that the answer to his question was a 'no.' The less he had to do, the better. After all, he had just been assigned a ton of paperwork. He wasn't intending to stay up all night doing this type of work when he could be in his room playing on his console instead.
"Nope. That's it, though she did mention something about reporting to her if you ever pulled out a device for gaming while you're supposed to be showing me around," Ignis said, eyeing Seha's pocket. "Of course, I won't say anything if you do- We're supposed to have each others' backs, right?" she added quickly before Seha could respond to the comment she made, not wanting to make herself seem like she was just sent to keep an eye on him.
"Ah.. I see. Thanks for informing me of such," Seha said with a bit of annoyance in his voice. Of course Ch'en would do something like this to keep him on track. She already gave him a ton of paperwork. It wasn't as if he had time to slack off and play games if he wanted to finish before the three days were over. After all, this was only the first of the few things he had to do during his three day punishment. Ignis bowed her head down apologetically for being the bearer of bad news.
