Ah yes, the smell of food in a distant Lungmen restaurant in the morning. That was something Seha was appreciative for. What made it better and more welcoming despite him never being in this particular restaurant before was the fact that his long lost friend, LM, was sitting in front of him. They were in a restaurant like any good friends ready to have a bite to eat. It would have been an ideal day, catching up on the time that they had lost, laughing at jokes, hanging out in a gaming lounge (Lungmen surprisingly had many of those), and eating good food.

However, things were far from ideal today.

It was early morning. Way too early morning. It was around 3:00 AM in the morning. It had been a cold morning, with him almost getting lost in the city despite his years of living in it. In all fairness, he had been living in the slums most of his early life. After that... well, he just became mostly someone who didn't do much outside. However, he had managed to find the restaurant and found LM, who was waiting for his arrival. It didn't seem that he had kept LM waiting too long, since he only had a glass of water and was looking at a menu to see what to order. LM, seeing Seha, waved to him and beckoned him over.

Last night, LM had explained the plan to him before dinner. They would meet out here and talk out the rest of the plan... which wasn't much of a plan. Regardless, he had decided to follow his friend's plan. He didn't really see the harm in going out to eat early in Lungmen, though there were strange looks from the waiters because of the time of their arrival in the restaurant. Even he had to admit from their looks that it was an unusual time to eat. Nonetheless, he walked over to LM and took a seat across from him.

"Good morning. Did you got enough sleep?" LM asked, lowering his menu and sliding it to Seha. Seha picked up the menu, but didn't look at it quite yet. He was rather irritated at LM's question. LM of all people should know that Seha himself wasn't much of an early bird. For him, it was much easier to play games until 3 in the morning rather than sleep and wake up then at that time. LM must've had it rough the past few years if he could still be functioning properly at this kind of time. Granted, LM was the kind of person to wake up early anyway.

"I stayed up playing games. If I had slept, I would have come half a day later rather than now," Seha replied, finally looking at the menu after answering the question. Taking a quick skim of the menu, he decided that he would have the stir fry noodles with a coke. Most other people would have chosen coffee at this sort of situation to stay awake longer, but Seha wasn't much of a coffee person. He quite.. disliked it. "I'll have the stir fry noodles with a can of coke," he said to the waitress, who came over when Seha lowered his menu. The waitress was attentive. That was probably because there weren't many other customers in the restaurant at this time. He really should tip them once him and LM finished eating.

Once he made his order, he leaned back on his chair as LM gave his order to the waitress. He didn't really pay attention to what LM ordered, since he quickly checked his phone. It had vibrated in his pocket, grabbing his attention. Turning on the screen of his phone, he took a look at the notifications.

3:08 AM | Ch'en: A friendly reminder that today's training session starts at 4:30 AM. Don't be late.

Shit. He had forgotten about that training session. Ch'en had mentioned that when she first handed him his schedule. It was training for his promotional exam that was soon to come. If he remembered correctly, it was.. around a week from now? At the moment, he was a Novice. A trainee, for short. Once he passed the promotional exam, he would be able to be sent out to the battlefield. He didn't mind staying as a Novice. If anything, he would rather not participate in fights. However, he knew that Ch'en would push him to take the test. Even if he had a serious arm injury, she would still make him do it with one hand. That.. was a frightening thought..
