Bry's POV:
It's rainy and cold. The only thing I have to keep myself from the brink of hypothermia is a blanket and my clothes. I'll occasionally get some change from passerby's to sustain myself but it's usually only enough for a can of tuna and water. It's been this way for almost 9 years my mother never seemed to love me so I was kicked out and left to fend for myself until I met this woman. She walks up to me "Aw poor baby, are you cold?" I nod hesitantly "is there anything I can get you to warm up it would be shame for you to get sick out here in the rain sweetie" I let out a noise of pain from the wound inflicted on me by a stranger a few hours before. I tell her that another blanket would help tremendously. She nods and leaves. I wait eagerly

*Skip to a half hour later*

"Here you go sweetie I'm sorry I couldn't get you anything better im a little short on cash" I apologise heavily for making her go through the trouble I look up at her for the first time. She has ocean blue eyes, slightly tanned skin and long beautiful brown hair. Suddenly my mind went blank, I quickly caught myself and asked intently "what is your name" she gets down on her knee making her eye level with me because I was sitting on the ground she says gently "my names melanie but please call me mel".

Mels POV:

After I gave him the blanket he asked for my name. I kneeled over so my eyes could meet his I could tell he's had it rough especially for being such a shy and reserved boy his light green eyes lit up when our eyes met I told him my name and I could see that he was grateful to see me. But I had to go home it was getting late and I didn't want to get the little guy in any trouble I had promised myself I would return in a couple days to initiate a conversation he seems hopeful and sweet I feel as if he needs someone and that someone is going to be me.
