max gets up and walks to the nightstand to grab a pack of blunts, a white lighter, and a bottle of jack

"you seem tense" he cracks open the jack and takes a swig "want some?" he burps

"oh uh, no i'm good. i don't like drinking" i wave my hand and back away a bit

"oh come on that's not the party girl that i remember! just skull it and you won't taste it"

"i-i'm good, really"

"just a little bit, okay?" he pours some jack into the lid of the bottle and hands it over to me. i stare at it and take in the pungent smell of alcohol

"no, no really" i try and hand it back

"come on, you won't even be able to taste it." he pushes my hand back towards my lips "just a sip."

i carefully take a sip of the jack and let it pour down my throat. i scrunch up my face

"too strong?" he chuckles

"yeah, too strong" i give the cap back to max

"hm.. then maybe this'll help you loosen up" he holds a joint up to my mouth "open"

i part my lips and he puts the cig in and flicks open the lighter. he holds the flame up to the end of the roll and ignites it

"just breathe in for a bit then push the air out, don't swallow or you'll choke"

i follow his instructions and then breathe out, coughing the smoke into my hand

"is this your first time smoking?" he smirks

i take the joint out of my mouth and hold it between my thumb and pointer finger

"caug cghh is it that easy to tell?" i look up at him and stick the fag back between my lips

"here, do it like this" he takes the roll out of my mouth and puts it in his

"don't breathe all the way in, just do it a little" he lights the tip and demonstrates his method "then just blow it out" he blows the smoke in a steady stream then looks back at me

"okay, i think i got it" max hands me the blunt and lights it

"blow the smoke in my face"

"hmh?" i chime

"just do it"

i shrug and take a drag then do what he asked. he closes his eyes and i blow it into his face

"why'd you want me to do that?"

"just cause" he lays down onto his side, his hand holding his head up

we pass the fag back and forth, and my head starts to feel more and more out of control

"so, how's your high?" he asks

"i don't even uh.. i don't.." i stutter

"heh, your tolerance will get better" he fiddles with a piece of fuzz on the sheets

"what happened to chad?"

"he probably passed out. lemme go see" max stands up and walks to the bathroom "yep, i was right, he passed out while taking a shit, or peeing like a girl, i don't know." he walks back out of the bathroom, shuts the door, and walks over to the bedside table  "i'm not gonna wake him up though, he needs his beauty sleep" he grabs 2 warm beers and hands one to me

"where'd you get all this alcohol?"

"i'm an alcoholic for a living, we have a disgusting amount of drinks. chad just brought some over with him"

"really? what kind of job do you have?" i crack the can open, foam spurting out the top and spilling onto my shirt and lap "aghh fuck!" i exclaim

"drink it drink it drink it!!" max laughs "don't spill anymore!"

i slurp up the dripping foam on the side of the can and set it down on the bedside table

"i don't even like beer that much" i say while sucking some beer off my hands

"yeh missed a spot" he points out

"hm? where?"

he points to my forearm. i lick from my elbow up to my wrist

"now i'm gonna smell like beer for the rest of the day" i unbutton the wet flannel and drop it on the floor "what should i do about my jeans?"

"uhhh i think i have some shorts you can wear in the dresser, you should probably change your shirt too" he tosses a pair of boxers and a t-shirt at me. i head towards the bathroom

"i don't think you wanna go in there puppy"

"why not?" i turn back towards max

"well, if you wanna see chads cock and balls laid out on the floor than be my guest but if you don't then just change in here"

"but, where are you gonna go?"

"well i'm gonna stay here." he sees my worried expression "oh come on, we've been dating for how long? this is no big deal. besides," he stands up and walks over to me and stares into my eyes "what's the worst that can happen?"
