It was finally the last day of the sixth year for Louisa Hughes, and she was feeling epic. It had been a full week since James had asked Louisa out and she said yes. Ever since then, Louisa has felt like she was on top of the world, that was until her sister, Inez, had to rain on her parade.
"I can't believe you're actually dating Potter!" Inez complained as she and her sister made their way to the Great Hall for breakfast.
This comment is the one that had pushed Louisa over the edge. All week, Inez had been complaining about Louisa being in a relationship with James. During all this complaining, Inez always ended at the same topic, or should I say, person. That person just so happened to be Lily, Lily Evans.
Louisa grabbed her sister's arm and turned them both to face each other. "Look, you can bitch about me seeing the guy that your friend may or may not have feelings for but the one thing you can not do is do it while we are in public. I will take all the shit you want to throw at me at home or in our dorm but I will not have you say these things while we are out. Got it?"
Inez quickly nodded, causing Louisa to drop her arm and return to her trek to the Great Hall. As Louisa was about to enter the Great Hall, Inez pulled her back into the hallway.
"Look I'm sorry for being an ass, it just James has been pining over Lily for years now, and the girls and I have been rooting for them since like forever. So it just seems weird that all of a sudden he loses interest in Lily and hooks onto you right away." Inez admitted.
"I understand your concern Inez, I really do, but I promise you I can look after myself."
"I know you can, but I'm your sister. I'm supposed to look out for you."
"Last time I checked, I was the oldest out of the both of us." Louisa laughed.
"Yeah you are, but what type of sister would I be if I didn't look out for my older sister?"
"A terrible one, that's what you would be." Louisa deadpanned.
"Yes, I would be a terrible sister. So am I forgiven?" Inez asked her sister with hopeful eyes.
Louisa held a straight face for almost a minute, then a smile broke out on her face. "Yes, Inez you are forgiven." Inez's face was automatically laced with a smile as she threw her arms around her sister's neck and pulled her into a hug. The hug lasted for about 30 seconds before they both pulled away from each other. the Hughes duo started walking back into the Great Hall before Louisa turned to her sister once more.
"I'm going to sit with James today if that's alright," Louisa admitted.
"Yeah, it's fine. He's your boyfriend, Louisa." Seeing the unsure look on Louisa's face made Inez add another part. "Go Louisa, he's already looking at you." Louisa's face broke out into a smile as she turned to the Gryffindor table. Inez was correct, James was in fact already looking at Louisa. He waved her over, Louisa quickly (but not too quickly) made her way to James and sat beside him. She was greeted with a kiss as she sat down at the table.
"Good morning boys," Louisa said to the Marauder clan.
"Morning!' James, Sirius, and Peter replied. Remus was too busy reading his book to even care to look at the new addition at the table. Which was fine with Louisa, seeing as she didn't really like Remus anyway.
In the corner of her eye, Louisa saw Inez go and sit with Lily and her friends which made her smile seeing as Louisa knew something that Inez obviously didn't want anyone to know.
