Chapter 21

Elena was laying on the paitent bed in a room Meredith had put her in. She was waiting. She walked back into the room. "You're pregnant again. But luckily not with twins."

"Thanks Meredith." She was a little scared finding out that she was pregnant again.

Meredith sat in her chair and looked at Elena she could tell that there was something wrong with her."Something troubling you?"

"I told him i couldn't open myheart and now i am pregnant."

"Let me tell you something." Meredith smiled she understood why Elena was scared she had been through a lot and this was just adding to the mix."Maybe this is a good thing for you two to work through your issues."

"I know."

Elena was sitting on the couch with Kyle and Kylie they were both laying on her asleep. Kol walked in and looked at them."Surprised your not in your room." She had been staying away from him and only coming out to be with her kids. But now finding out that she was pregnant again she didn't want a repeat of last time going off the grid they had gotten so close to him.

She looked up at him. There was something that she had to know no matter what the answer turned out to be."Why do you like me? Cause you never cared about me before they came along so."

"Because your honest."

She rolled her eyes she didn't really consider herself honest she wasn't a liar but she guessed Honestly just came naturally she never had a reason to lie."Your kidding right you didn't meet them until they were one."

"Technically i never asked so you never lied and your really blunt and honest you tell it like it is if you don't like someone you tell them that."

She chuckled lightly that was true she never really seen a point in it. Keeping things to herself and lying were two different things."Ok i guess i really am blunt and a broken record."

"I think all of us are broken records." He took a seat on one of the other chairs. He had missed having these sort of talks with her."You got here early." He was home way earlier then normal and was surpirsed that she was to.

"Your off early your never home this early."

"Didn't feel like being there." Kol shrugged work was no longer the most important thing in his life. They were and he was going to make an effort to spend more time wiith them.

"I got sent home by Meredith today." She ran her fingers through her daughters short hair. She sorta hoped that she was pregnant with a girl."We need to talk. I'm tired of us walking around like ghosts and as much as i want to continue to sulk and act like nothing has changed since i landed in Mystic falls months ago everything has changed. We have changed i have changed they like it here i like it here but i don't like how this is going."

"What are you saying?"

"Is there a chance that we could work and not just for them for us to."

"What made you change your mind."

"They forgive me if i did this to myself. And i got a very interesting surprise today." She went into her purse and took out the ultrasoud and handed it to him."I don't want to run this time i want to stay here."

"Then stay."
