Chapter-9-Dinner

Making up for being missing for 2 days with this 1500 word chapter. Hope you guys like it.

From there they went back to the resort which was just 10 min away to get ready for dinner. Anokhi was thinking all the way back what she should be wearing. Shaurya says do want to wear the bday dress that I gave you reading her mind. Anokhi didn't know what to say. Shaurya says I know. Uss dress ka kya hashr kia tumne. And he turns his face away. Anokhi kehti hai woh. Shaurya kehta
chodo, past ko. Iss baar nhi dene wala. Anokhi feels sad. She thinks she really hurt Shaurya. She says theekh. When she reaches her room. She sees another dress. With it is a note. Yehi saza hai tumhari. Faded color pehne ke aana padega. She opens the dress to find it to be a mix of pale and dark. So chahkar bhi woh apni pasand mujh par thop naa sake. She smiles. I wish mein bhi unhe kuch de sakti. If nothing I can cut him a pocket square from one of my duppatas. That will something special for me. Pata nhi unhe kaisa lagega. She takes one of her most precious clothes. And cuts out a pocket square from it. And she decides to pair it with something else. So she goes to the store and buys a pair of cuffs. She knocks at his room. Shaurya is again not there. She sees Yash. Yash says Shaurya bhaiya koi aaya hai aapse milne. Anokhi realises it's almost time to leave and she too has to get ready so she says Yash ye de dena Shau.... Matlab PS ko. Yash says kab tak unhe PS bulaogi. Anyways de dunga.

Anokhi goes to her room wears her dress. Babli comes in. She is looking stunning in a dress too. Anokhi says di tu kitni pyari lag rhi hai. Yeh dress. She says Shaurya sent it for her. Saying that it is for my di. So don't refuse. And I couldn't. Though I really think bohot zyada ho gya. Shaurya aise hi hai Anokhi bolti hai. Kuch bhi moderation mein nhi. Gussa extreme, ruthna extreme, manana extreme. Aur pyaar...... Woh bhi extreme hi hoga naa Babli cuts through. Anokhi blushes and says ab chale. Der ho rhi hai. Khud kitna late karte hai. Mein late ho jaoon toh sar par utha lenge pure duniya ko. And she leaves.

All are waiting near the lobby. And Shaurya is oscillating to and fro. And as soon as Anokhi comes he shouts. Anokhi yeh kya time hai aane ka itna late. Mein kabse wait kar rha hoon. Anokhi kehti hai panch minute kabse hai aapke hisab se. Punctuality bhi toh koi cheez hoti hai Anokhi. Class mein kabhi late pohonchi ho. Anokhi says kyunki woh class hai. Yahan bhi class hi lagegi kya pata. Aur subah jo itna wait karaya aapne uska. Shaurya says tumhare liye ready ho rha tha. Confused tha. Maine dress bheja tha naa tumhe. Toh dress pehna padta hai, makeup karna padta hai. Shaurya says oh please time pass karti rehti ho bas tum. Toh aapke liye pocket square banana aur cufflinks kharidna time pass hai. Anokhi waisa nhi kaha maine. Isliye toh pehna bhi nhi aapne.  Shaurya says isliye toh wait kar rha tha tum pehnaogi. Anokhi looks at him. And they get lost.

Kanchan does a fake cough. Punctuality ka lecture dene wale yeh bhul the hai, hum late hone wale hai. And if you have noticed baki sab log baithe hai for this world war to end. Shaurya kehta hai haan chalo chalo. And they start leaving. Jab Aastha kehti hai ek second jis wajah se jhagda shuru hua woh toh khatam karke jao. Shaurya ke cufflinks laga do. Hum yehi rukenge magar. Warna hum logon ko tumhe chodke hi dinner karna padega.

Anokhi starts putting the cufflinks and folding the pocket square. As Shaurya keeps staring at her. And then they leave. Shaurya holds Anokhis hands as they walk. And they go together. Shaurya and Anokhi sit beside each other. And keep holding each other's hand. Shaurya keeps writing with fingers on her hand. And she doesn't know how to not react. She at one point Shaurya. And everyone look at him. Anokhi covers up by saying pani denge. And Shaurya starts to fumble. Yash says dekh liya humne aap hath hatana bhul gye bhaiya. Yash says aap dono se mujhe aur Kanchan ko tips leni padengi ab.

They reach the beautiful restaurant.
It's open air with the sweet night breeze coming in. They are ushered to tables. Shaurya says this might different but I wanted it to be unique and memorable, so the fusion food. There is fish ceviche and ceviche pani puri. Tomato shots. Thai fish. Sushi. So  all in all its a grand affair. Anokhi tries to figure out the chopsticks. Shaurya realises and decides to mke her comfortable by having it by hand.
And actually decides to make it more comfortable by taking one putting it in the mouth of some else. So without thinking it's badi maa. And before he realises it is too late. Badi maa and smiles and says. Mujhe pata hai galti se hua hai I know. It's ok. Shaurya doesn't retract. He puts it in badi maas mouth. And then looks at Aastha. Aastha knows he is awkward. So she puts the sushi in his mouth. Ab jiske mooh mein dalne ka plan tha uske mooh mein toh dalo. And he takes it and puts in it Yash's mouth. And says kaisa laga. I have wanted to do this since so long. Everyone gives a weird stare as Yash starts coughing up. It's so much soya sauce and wasabi in there. Can turn you into smoke. And then it's his turn for revenge. So his adds like lots of paprika into a pani puri into Shaurya's mouth. And it's damn spicy. Shaurya starts chugging water like crazy. And then Yash wants to still have fun. So he says cheeni le. And actually puts a spoonful of salt into his mouth. Ab zyada nhi ho gya Shaurya manages to say. Yash says start kisne kia tha. Kanchan says bhaiya pani lo. Shaurya says tum Yash ko samjhao. Kanchan says apne kyu nhi samjhaya itne saal. Shaurya says bas nhi samjhaya. He goes and sits at his chair quietly. He looks back at his distance from Yash over the course of the years. And Yash does the same. Of how he hasn't been there for his older brother ever. And then he just goes to Shaurya and says sorry. Shaurya says it ok. Let's now actually have dinner.
And they have food. Anokhi pasand aaya. Anokhi says haan. Alag tha but nice. Sach? Hmmm. Kanchan says Shaurya bhaiya ki choice kab achi nhi hui hai. Anokhi blushes. Anokhi says I will be back.
Thodi der mein deserts aate hai. And there are one too many. Shaurya kehta hai tum logon miscount kia hoga. They say no. Woh maam ne kahan tha pointing at Anokhi. There are 2 red velvet pastries with luscious berry ice creams, and a glistening berry sauce, with a heart. Shaurya says yeh. Anokhi says for 2 most important people in my life. Babli di and PS. Shaurya and Babli are touched. And they feed each a little bit to our Nikki. Aastha says mein important nhi? Aastha maam Anokhi says. Aastha says agli baar mere liye bhi lana. Aakhir unmese ek se tum isliye mili kyunki maine tumhe Siac aane ke liye kahan tha. Anokhi says yes ma'am. And they enjoy the lovely desert. After which they leave. Shaurya whispers a thanks in Anokhis ears as they leave. And Anokhi tells ek cheez toh bhul hi gayi. Shaurya says kya. Yeh and gives him a yellow rose. Shaurya and Anokhi share a laugh. An then they leave.

Shaurya opens the door and nudges Anokhi to get in. Anokhi says she loves to keep the window open and enjoy the breeze. So Shaurya goes in followed by Anokhi. Yash puts like really subtle music something like Saibo/ Khuda jane. Shaurya places his head on her shoulder and drifts off to sleep. And Anokhi shuts the window because cars are whizzing past by making it noisy and that may interfere with Shaurya's sleep. When they reach Anokhi doesn't know want to disturb his sleep so she gently shakes him. And says we are back. Go to your room and enjoy a good night's sleep. Shaurya says Goodnight Anokhi (Imagine Shaurya's voice that kills❤️). And he comes close to her. Their foreheads touch. And he wants to kiss her but he feels this is not how it should be. So he hold her hand tight for a few seconds and leaves.

The restaurant is one I actually went to this year during a vacay in Goa. I pulled up my Goa memories for this fanfic. Though have to clarify the resemblance is limited to locations 😉😛. Had gone with parents and am single.😂 I am working on another fanfic by the way which will I will start putting up after a posting the remaining chapters of Goa diaries.  That one will be called dating diaries set in Siac with Anokhi being both Jugni and romantic.So watch the space........
