~A.N.~ Throughout the book, there will be some swearing and stong language. I would check the box that says 'mature', but the language will be as bad as it gets. I will try to warn you at the beginning of every chapter if there will be swearing. Not this one though.

Take a moment to imagine a fairy tale. Not hard, right? We've all heard them before. There's usually a princess or a girl who will become a princess.. A somewhat delicate, beautiful girl whose main goal in life is to attain the glorious concept of true love. She always has some sort of problem, whether it be her parents forcing her into marriage, or being forced to work as a servant, or some evil person wants to kill her. Either way, she powers through and somehow ends up getting a guy along the way.

The guy is usually the vision of perfect. The guy is usually either a Prince, a Knight, or a lowly commoner. He's kind, gentle, sweet, charming, courageous, and pretty much every other 'dream guy' characteristic you can come up with. He quickly falls in love with the princess and they live happily ever after. Quickly as in, they barely know each other and, poof! Marriage.

That is, after they defeat the third character in the picture, the villain. In all cases, the villain is oppressing the Princess or the guy in some way. Usually something along the lines of a witch. S/he seems unbeatable, yet s/he is always beaten. The princess and the guy's endeavors to defeat the villain result in them loving each other even more.

Lastly, there are side characters. An advisor the the Prince here, a servant to the Princess there. Their lives are usually left completely unexplained and deemed unimportant. After the Princess and the guy get married (because they always do), their lives remain completely unchanged.

This story is a fairy tale that goes against all fairy tales. It includes all of the types of characters listed above, but each of them are thrown into a whole new light. It starts with Genevieve, the exact opposite of what people associate with princesses. Then, throw in James, a cocky, self assured Prince. There is a villain that won't be expected. As for the side characters, they are anything but insignificant. As for this fairy tale, it is anything but average.

~2nd A.N.~ I know that not all fairy tales are exactly like the stereotypes I described, but it fits the plot better. Hope you enjoy. Leave comments, vote, request, all that stuff.
