A not so average day

After a while of sitting next to her and making sure she was okay we both decided to back to class. She stood up from the ground and dusted her dress "Thank you" she smiled and turned around ready to go to class. "Wait" I picked a few of my favourite flower and placed in her hair "Let's go now!" I smiled back. Halfway back to class it started raining and I looked back at her in the rain with irises in her hair, she looked really pretty.

The voice stopped speaking, the player had stopped. "They've finally gotten to know each other, huh?" I asked in disbelief of the social skills of a kid way younger than me. "Man, I wish I had those social skills, I'm such a damn loser." I looked up and stared at the ceiling for no particular reason as random thoughts formed in my head. I then dragged my lazy self downstairs to wash my face to feel a bit more focused. Personally being a big fan on multitasking I adored audio books and the closest thing I had to that was the tapes. As much as I wanted to know why Julie was crying I was worried for her as well, but I really had to write my essay, so I quickly brewed myself a cup of hot fragrant coffee and ran back to my room to start working on my essay.

After an hour of scouring the internet and few more hours of putting all that information together I was finally satisfied with it. All that I had left to do was edit it be a bit shorter and check for grammar errors, but I left that work for the next day as my eyes were aching from staring at the blue light emitting monitor for  almost three hours! I got downstairs and picked a few bag of chips and a water bottle ready to binge watch my favourite show. 30 minutes passed as I laid on the couch staring at the TV with little movement. If someone were to see me they be assuming my body was lifeless but thankfully that was not the case. At the end of the show my hand reached out to grab another bite of the fried chips from packet but all that I felt was crumbs. I got up to get one more packet but when I opened the cabinet it was empty. My mouth opened in shock, I had mindlessly eaten all the snacks like an idiot. There was nothing to give mum who will be coming home with dad in a few minutes. I threw all the trash in the Trash bin and quickly rushed my bedroom and put on a coat and grabbed my phone and wallet. "R.I.P my dear savings." I looked at my wallet sadly and ran to the nearest convenience store like a lunatic. The sky was covered in orange with a few clouds scattered across, the breeze was cold and surprisingly there were not many people outside as I expected only a few kids who were playing hopscotch on their front yard. After running past countless homes and trees I arrived in front of the convenience store. " You could've passed the track trials if you had run like that back then ." I hear someone say as I squat down trying to catch my breath. I stand up and look at the person and it was our friendly neighbourhood Dan! "So, watchu doing here?" he asked. I explained the entire story as we walked from aisle to aisle trying to pick out some decent snacks. "So, your mom's home?" He asked and I nodded back in reply as we stood before the cashier. "The total is 12" The person said. I gave them the money and we both headed towards her exit. "I'm off now, my mom is gonna get real angry if I don't go home soon" he said as walked away from me.

I heard a rustle come from the alleyway next to the store which got me curious. I went there and near the dumpster I saw a scrawny little cat, It had yellow eyes and black fur covering it's body. Unlike what I had expected the cat simply meowed and sat in front of me with it's expectant eyes. I thought I hungry so I went back to the store bought a can of tuna for the cat and entered the alleyway again. The cat was right where it was before I left. I kneeled down to the cat and pet it a little before I started to open the can for the cat to eat. I heard sounds of footsteps come towards me and a shadow formed on the floor of the dimly lit alleyway.
