As I sat admiring my work the doorbell rang. 'Must be mom and dad.' I thought. I hid the the bracelet in one of my desk drawers and ran up to the door. I looked through the peephole, just in case and it was them, so I opened the door. "You guys can talk for a while, I'll go make dinner" dad said as he left for the kitten.

"Look at you grown up already" She started. "I remember you being this tall waddling around the park looking like a penguin. Soon you will become an adult and get married." Tears started flowing down her face "and I won't be able to spend much time with me being away and busy." I open my arms wide and pull her into a hug. "Aww... mom, I'll visit you once in a while no matter what, plus I'm here right now so, why don't we do something fun!" She wiped the tears from her face "I know, why don't we play board games just like we used to when we were little!" I went to my room and opened my drawer. To my surprise the game was still there. I took it out and blew the dust off of it and a tons of dust particles floated into the air which made me cough. Still coughing I said to my self "God, this thing is still here huh? Must have been years since I last played it. I quickly took it downstairs and put it on the table.
"Ready to lose?" I asked. "Never!" She smiled. She rolled her dice and got a 6 meanwhile I rolled it and got a 1 "Ha!" I exclaimed. According to the rules of this game in order to move to the first tile you have to roll a 1 and if any other number is rolled you will have to stay stationary until you roll a 1. After three rolls my mom finally had rolled 1 and the next turn, she rolled six. "1, 2, 3, 4, 5 ... 6. I got ... pick a card!" Pick a card can go wrong a lot of the times. I have never seen anyone get something good out of this. "There is no way she is going to win!" She picked a card and flipped it over, she covered he face in shock. 'She probably got something bad' She moved her mouth from her face "You have to give me 2,000" My eyes widened '2,000! I only have 5,000! How am I supposed to buy a hotel? If I do this, I am going to have to settle for a house but houses can only be sold for a profit of 500 ... aah!' "You do not have to do this if you don't want to" she said in reply to my reaction. 'Was it really that obvious! H-How can she read me like a book?' "N-No it's alright I-I can pay, after all I have to follow the rules." I hesitantly put down 2,000 on the opposite side of the table. "Dinner is ready!" Dad said as he set the table.
