A vampire's vow

Meeting Scarlet.

Scarlet's mother was a powerful witch and her father was the ruler of the Vampire kingdom. After Scarlet's birth, her mother left the King for an unknown reason, without having left anything to her daughter but her powers, she disappeared, said to have been killed. The King was of course angry that his lover left him with the child and didn't pay much attention to her. At Scarlet's 10th birthday, the King got ill. By then, Scarlet, having been raised by a witch who was her mother's friend, had already mastered her powers and grew dark. A week after her birthday, the King had died said to have been murdered by his own daughter to have the throne to herself. Being princess of the land she lived in a huge palace with knights and maids guarding her every moment. When she turned 16, she somehow managed to escape the palace and was pronounced missing for a year. One day, she returned as if she had gone on a trip and locked herself in her castle with the knowledge of her travels. After a year of keeping herself hidden from her people, a war was starting to form with the neighbourhood kingdom. Having heard about it Scarlet came out of her confinement. And that's how it all began....
