The sun rays were beating down on my face, I could feel them burning my skin but I didn’t mind...It was a luxury I rarely let myself indulge in. My whole body was warm, the sun heating it up to temperatures I would normally find repulsive. But today, it was different. Today I enjoyed laying in the sun. Today was a treat for me. A day where there was no arguments or any tiffs going on among me and my friends. We were all just enjoying each others company, laughing.

The suns rays seeming to just make us all happy, it was making the mood lighter. There seemed like there was nothing wrong on this day. We knew that soon recess would be over and we would have to return into our respectful classes and suffer through two 75 minute periods before being able to go outside once more and just sit under the sun and soak it all up.

The hope for that would get me through my next two classes...The thought of the sun once again being absorbed into my skin, probably helping cause a form of skin cancer, but I didn’t mind or worry about that because this was a treat for us all.
