A week passed since the councilor meeting and everywhere I go a silent black figure follows me. I pull on my big black sunglasses and slip the hood of my jacket over my head, covering my very noticeable ginger hair. I open the door and head out to the big world and down the street to the supermarket (locking the door behind me of course).
In the corner of my eye I see the shadows flicker, slowly creeping across the wall towards me. I hear the thud of my boots on the cement as I quicken my pace ever so slightly. I swear I'm just seeing things. I walk past a man in a long brown trench coat with a dusty hat pulled down with shadows covering his eyes. I walk around the corner past a alley way and notice the man beginning to follow me as well. I press my back against the wall and try not to be seen as the man walks past. I watch as he walks out of eye sight and slipped into the alley way.
When will this end!!! I mentally murmured in my head. I decide to forget about grocery shopping and just go back home. I hum quietly under my breath and try and not draw attention to myself. This week has probably been the weirdest and most freaky week of my life. People are following me, my councilor went all crazy and my week is repeating itself.
I glance behind me to see if the man and the shadow are still following. So far so good with no one present in sight. I stop walking when I suddenly hear a loud bang of a trash can falling down. I turn around and search for the source that made the noise. My eyes sweep across the walls in search for the darkness. Nothing.
I swivel around and head back the way I was going before the crash. My breath becomes heavier and louder as I walk faster. I can see the end of the alley way know and begin to run. Sunlight hits my skin as I escape the terrible place of the alley way and run down the street to my apartment.
I take my keys out of my pocket and slow down my run to a speed walk and enter the building. I walk past the front desk were a man in a brown trench coat is being served. WAIT, a man in trench coat! I pretend that I haven't noticed him and go in the elevator.I press the button for level four and watch the door ever so slowly close. Before the door closes I catch a glimpse of the man heading for the elevator. As soon as they close I slump against the wall and exhale heavily. I watch the numbers on the wall above the doors slowly past. The elevator comes to a stop and enlightens me by telling me I'm on my floor. I quickly leave the small box called a elevator and walk down the hallway, heading for my room.
I slip my room key into the lock and twist. I open the door and set my keys down on the table beside the entrance. I close the door and take my shoes off. I walk into my room and jump onto the bed. I rest my head on my extremely comfy pillow and close my eyes, hoping to slip into dream land.
I don't know when but my wish must of been heard as I slip Into a light slumber. I want to forget everything but some things are ment to be remembered even if we wish not to.
