6. His

Zhang Zhehan's ears fumed with invisible smoke as he checked the news of Gong Jun's upcoming BL movie; he turned off his phone and slammed the computer shut after he saw the lovey-dovey shots and behind the scenes of his Junjun and the other actor that circulated almost on every national and international social media platform.

He and Junjun never really labeled their relationship before Gong Jun went abroad. Zhehan had tried to reconcile but Gong Jun seemed indifferent. He distrusted Zhehan's sincerity and insisted that he needed time to think about it. Zhehan did indeed say that he won't leave him, but this time it was Gong Jun the one who left.

He had tried to talk to him every day, call him and message him, but Gong Jun was growing busier each day, and Zhehan didn't intrude or interrupt. Besides the never-ending rumors and controversy, he was the direct reason for Gong Jun's pain and minor health mishap; hence, he decided to give him the space and time he needed so that he can make up his mind until he comes back.

The sheets of the song he wrote were still sitting in his drawers and the lyrics were still playing in his mind, but he never released it or revealed it to anyone other than his mom. He didn't dare to speak of his feelings for Junjun again, especially not to him, because Gong Jun would always brush him off or play it as a joke; he never took Zhehan's confession seriously. However, Zhehan didn't blame him, he was rather hopeful... He hoped that Gong Jun would forgive him and give him a chance, he hoped that he would know how much he loved him and cherished him, he hoped that he could understand how sorry he was and how much he regretted hurting him.

But with each passing day, he began to lose that speck of hope.

Gong Jun seemed happy where he was, he seemed content and satisfied, he looked like he was moving on. His career wasn't adversely affected by the accident few months ago, and everybody was looking forward to the release of his new movie.

Zhehan was happy for him, but deep down, he still tasted the sourness and bitterness that came along with every time he saw how happy Junjun was without him. He was jealous, he was resentful, he envied that new man who could be close to his Junjun every day, he despised the fact that this new man had a chance at subtle intimacy with his Junjun, he loathed the idea that this new man would touch his Jujun. His, his, his.

The jealousy had started getting its toll on his temper and mental health, he couldn't bear to look at any new or articles or pictures, but the only thing that alleviated this sourness was the loyal fans that supported him and Junjun together.

Zhehan sighed in frustration as he checked the chat with Gong Jun. The last conversation they had was few months ago when Junjun wished him a dry happy birthday and Zhehan replied with a video-call that was declined by the excuse of 'busy'. He wanted to see him, to hear his voice, he wanted to talk to him, anything is fine, he just wanted to have him like before, in the most humble way possible...

He hesitated to face-time him before accidently pressing the button, he shrieked and panicked and cursed then tossed the phone without hanging up. He thought that Gong Jun wouldn't pick up anyway, so why bother?

But this time he did.

[Hello? Zhang Laoshi! I can't see you...]

Zhehan was startled at the unexpected pickup of his call and tried to remain as calm as he could. He grabbed the phone and laughed nervously, faking to adjust his shirt.

[Junjun... Hi... Uh... Sorry... I was fetching a shirt... You haven't slept yet?]

Where Junjun stayed was almost midnight, but it was still afternoon at Zhehan's.
