Wrath makes good on his promise and brings Marisol into the villages market.
"This is the first circle, it has the biggest market" Wrath says and Marisol looks up at Wrath,
"Circles?"
"Yea...nine circles of hell, eight and nine are more purgatory though, they belong to Queen Maria, not Hunter"
"Hunters the King of Hell?"
"That he is" Wrath says and Marisol hums, looking around the market. At the stalls, people walking by with food trays on their shoulders and at the shops.
"This reminds me of medieval times or something" Marisol whispers and Wrath looks down at her,
"Well...we do torture people"
Marisol knows it shouldn't but Wrath's statement makes her giggle and she keeps walking with the larger man. Hell surprisingly doesn't smell that bad, everything's cast in a slight reddish haze, almost like a thin red fog.
Some people stare at Marisol as they walk by. A few look angry, a few look curious and a few look amused. Marisol guesses it must be because of Wrath's large stature compared to how tiny she is.
"You hungry?" Wrath asks and Marisol twists her lips,
"Can I even eat down here? Like...it won't be like Persephone and Hades will it? I eat a pomegranate or something then I can't go home?"
Wrath's lip twitches, Marisol suddenly feels determined to coax a real smile out of the man, "No Mari, you can eat down here"
"Oh...well...then bring me somewhere you think will be good"
"You eat meat?"
"I eat almost anything"
Wrath hums in acknowledgement, grabbing Marisol's hand in his own large and rough one before walking off. The two remain quiet until Wrath gets to some kind of store, heading inside with Marisol quickly following.
There's a woman behind the counter. She looks rather amused to see Wrath and Marisol.
"Well well...there's the little human who's been causing a stir" The woman says and Marisol wrinkles her nose in confusion,
"Huh?"
"Oh, you were in the papers this mornin hun" The woman says, "not an overly large article but just one enough to let people know you're for sure here"
Marisol feels her cheeks glow red, Wrath rolls his eyes,
"Alcina she's hungry"
"Well I got just about any kind of meat pie here" Alcina says, slapping a hand on the counter and smiling at Marisol, "I'll let your little lady take a look"
Alcina walks off, letting Marisol watch her go. She's a rather tall woman with muscles that rival Wrath's. Her hair is shaved off though Marisol can tell from the peach fuzz growing that her hair was once black.
Looking up at Wrath, she's shocked to find a small scowl on his face,
"Mike?"
It takes a second for Wrath to look down at Marisol, almost as though her kindness hasn't exactly clicked yet,
"yea?"
"...I can't read the menu"
Wrath looks at the board, facepalming a bit, "Hellspeak, right..."
"Why don't you get me your favorite?"
"Sure" Wrath says, smiling a bit at Marisol which makes her feel warm inside. Alcina comes back, holding a box on her hip,
"You two know what you want?"
"Two of my usual Alcina" Wrath says and Alcina nods, putting the box down and grabbing the meat pies for them before handing them over, holding a hand up when Wrath goes to pay.
"Think of it like a welcome gift for the lady" Alcina says, winking at Marisol who winks back, making the demon laugh. Wrath rolls his eyes and takes the food, Alcina seems amused,
"Don't be so jealous Wrath"
"I'm not jealous!"
"You so are" She says in amusement before she waves, picking the box up again and walking into the back. Marisol looks up at Wrath,
"C'mon Mike" She says softly and Wrath huffs but nods, leading Marisol off to continue walking around and she takes a bite of the meat pie, eyes growing wide. It's one of the best things she thinks she's ever eaten.
"What the heck kinda meat is this?" Marisol asks and Wrath shrugs,
"Won't get it on Earth, it's a type of boar from the forests in circle six"
"You have forests?" Marisol asks, her mouth already full again with the sweet meat and Wrath nods,
"Yea, maybe I can bring you sometime if you're around long enough"
Marisol smiles up at Wrath a little, "I'd like that Mike" She says and she smiles wider when Wrath offers her a smile back.
