Marisol woke up beside Wrath.
Her eyes fluttered open. She looked up at his sleeping form and baulked a little bit but then smiled.
Wrath really was so big and warm, Marisol snuggled up and carefully thought about how she felt.
She knew that she loved Wrath. It was hard not to do so, he was the kindest man she'd ever met, even with being a demon. He was kind, gentle and loving with her and she had fallen for him.
Marisol wondered what this meant, if she...her heart sank when she realized she more than likely would have to leave him. That she couldn't stay down in hell with Wrath.
"Morning"
Marisol snapped out of it from the deep voice, looking up the brown eyes which looked sleepy and warm. She forgot he was a demon sometimes.
"Morning, Mike" Marisol said softly, "you know, you're really quite warm"
Wrath chuckled, "oh, am I?"
"Mhmm" Marisol nodded sagely, "if you laid on me, I wouldn't need a blanket"
"If I laid on you? Mari, I'd crush you" Wrath chuckled, sitting up a bit and Marisol pouted,
"Least I'd be warm"
"You're a goofball" Wrath said, brushing her hair back from her face, before hesitating.
"Mari?" Wrath said softly, Marisol tilting her head a bit,
"Yea?"
"Would-"
A knock at the door came. Wrath looked rather annoyed, sat up and looked out towards it,
"Hello?" He demanded, Marisol squeaking and hiding under the covers. She heard the door open and a very confused knight ask where Marisol was.
"Busy, may I take a message?"
"The Queen wishes to see her, as soon as possible"
"Thank you, Fang, you're dismissed"
Marisol heard the door close again, Wrath carefully pulling the blankets away from her and tilting his head,
"You get that?" He asked. Marisol nodded,
"It's nothing bad is it?"
Wrath shook his head, "nah, their majesty probably just got wrapped in something and asked Fang to pass along a message, happens all the time"
Marisol relaxed, nodding to Wrath, "Okay" she said and got up, forgetting that she was naked for a moment before looking at Wrath, whose eyes were closed.
"You can look, Mike" Marisol said in amusement, "we've bathed together, remember?"
"...Still, found it rude" Wrath said, but opened his eyes anyways, standing up and pulling his pants and dress shirt on from the night before.
Marisol didn't like how the whole disheveled look was doing it for him.
"If you need me, come find me, yes?" Wrath said, looking at Marisol, his expression softer than anything she'd ever seen for anyone,
"I care about you""I care about you too" Marisol said as Wrath smiled, kissing her forehead and wishing her luck with the Queen before he left the room.
Marisol quickly got dressed before needing to sit down a moment, her head and heart racing.
She found she really didn't want to return home.
