it was currently 3 am in the morning and niki was wide awake. he had had a couple of restless nights the past week.going out on missions back to back, the gang was in a pretty tough spot.
on nights like these, niki liked to go out on short walks whenever no one was around or awake. he enjoyed the quietness of the streets during dusk unlike the bustling streets during dawn.
and so, like his usual routine the past week, he threw on a random hoodie, sliding his phone in the pockets of his pants, and made his way out the door.
tonight he decided to take a different route, somewhere a bit more closed off from the city.
his footsteps hit the wet gravel beneath him. it had rained earlier that day which he didn't mind, he loved actually. not many people were fond of gloomy days like we was. he actually hated the sunny and bright days seoul had blessed the people with.
it only brought back memories he wished would be forgotten forever.
unlike those cliche dramas you see on tv, sad and depressing scenes occurred outside in the rain. the protagonist crying or running away from the supposed antagonist whilst the earth rumble under them, the gods drenching them in his tears.
that was exactly what niki had went through.
just, it was bright and sunny, not raining and thundering.
he continued his stroll down the narrow road. kept his eyes on the ground lost in his thoughts, in the moment while listening to the sound of the rain that started to lightly drizzle, when he heard loud panting and running behind him.
he turned around only to be knocked down by a unknown, rather small person.
the girl was on top of the startled boy, catching her breath.
"wha-"
"shut up." the girl quickly shushed. she got up, dragging the boy between the wedge of two buildings.
"who are you hid-"
"be quiettt!" she shushed again.
the girl peaked her head out the corner before retracting immediately. a group of people running right by.
they both let out a breath they didn't notice they were holding in.
the girl didn't know why she suddenly gotten herself into circumstances like this. the situation seemed all too familiar and she never got into this much conflict in a short span of time.
"i'm sorry. i didn't mean to crash into you." she spoke as she stepped out of the way.
"are you alright?" niki had asked the girl, becoming aware of her blood covered hands, one gripped against her lower abdomen.
the blood was in fact her own.
it was dark but he was able to see the blood seeping through her white shirt under her jacket.
the girl hunched over, trying to suppress the pain that waved through her body. she pressed at her wound, trying to minimize the bleeding.
all the running had tired her out. she also had a few restless nights and her fatigue was getting the best of her. it wouldn't be bad to ask for a little help.
"no, i'm not actually. do you happen to know any convenient stores around here? i need to grab a few things." the girl groaned.
"there's actually one a few blocks away. I could go grab a few bandages and you can wait here."
niki didn't know where his sudden urge to help came from. it surprised the girl.
'he was okay with all of this? theres danger written all over this. is he not scared?' she thought.
"no it's fine actually. if you could just tell me quickly and i'll be on my way." the girl declined.
after telling her the store was just around the corner, niki followed behind the girl slowly. the girl was unaware that she was being followed as she limped her way down the road. thank the gods he was though because before she could reach the store, she began to slow down and her body gave in.
the girl fell to the ground with a thud.
a gasp escaped from his lips before he quickly made his way to her. getting a hold of her, he violently shook the girl but she was unresponsive.
niki didn't know what to do. he looked around pointlessly searching for anyone who could assist him. but there was no one. it was so late at night.
it left him no choice. he couldn't just leave the girl to die on the road. what kind of cliche drama is this? what do i do. what do i do.
niki let out a heavy sigh before picking up the girl to lay on his back, making his way back to the HQ that was luckily not too far from here. he needed to go fast or else she would bleed to death.
he would've taken her to the hospital, only, the drive was an hour away and he didn't want to imagine the experience of walking there. it would be horrific for the both of them.
i'm sure soobin wouldn't mind helping her out.
niki started to wish he had taken his usual route.
