Chapter 29

Marinette POV:

I know he didn't mean to yell and I know he feels very bad about it so I understand and don't make it worse by being upset. I know having an eating disorder can be really hard and sometimes makes you do things you regret.

He's like a puppy when he's sad.

His eyes are big and he can't bring himself to look at you.

I lay down on the couch and pull him on top of me.

He makes a kind of "Mmm." Sound like he's in pain.

"Are you okay?"

I'm scared I hurt him somehow.

"Yeah sorry, I'm allergic to feathers remember? And my allergies just kinda make my whole body ache but it should go away soon."

I rub his back and run my fingers up the back of his head.

"My poor kitty."

He blushes, I know he does but he acts like he doesn't love when I call him that.

"Shut up."

I giggle and continue to cuddle him.

"I love you."

I get no response.

I look down at him.

He's asleep.

Also he drools in his sleep apparently.

I smile softly and kiss his head then continue to rub his back.

Probably 20 minutes pass by until he wakes up and rubs his eyes as he sits up, realizing he fell asleep on me.

"Oh my God, I'm so sorry."

My body feels cold without him laying there.

"It's fine."

I laugh as I say those words.

"How long was I-?"

"About 3 hours."

"No! You're lying!"

I laugh again.

"You'll never know."

He turns to check the clock on the wall before turning back to me with an offended face.

"Wow. Liar."

I giggle and stand up to stretch.

"Hey um- Marinette?"

"Yeah?"

"I was actually wondering if maybe you could-"

I bet he's gonna ask me to transform into Ladybug.

"-transform into Ladybug again?"

I roll my eyes and smile at him.

"Fine."

We go back upstairs where Tikki and Plagg are.

"Tikki, do you mind?"

I smile at her and gesture to Adrien.

She rolls her eyes and giggles before flying over to me.

"Tikki! Spots on!"

I transform and pose for Adrien.

"Wow! So cool, Marinette is Ladybug. I thought we knew this."

"Shut up, Plagg!"

Adrien shouts at Plagg from across the room but doesn't take his eyes off me.
