Chapter 57

Marinette's POV:

Turns out I was very tired because I fell asleep like 5 minutes into the movie.

Adrien is just so warm though and I feel so safe with him.

His arm around me was basically begging me to fall asleep right then and there.

So I did.

I woke up a few times for very brief moments. If I was awake long enough to understand reality, I would kiss his cheek but most times I probably just made a "Mmmm." sound and went straight back to sleep.

Eventually- I fall asleep completely and only wake up when it's morning.

I don't know how this happened, but he's laying down and I'm laying on top of him. He's already awake. I can tell because he's rubbing my back and I can hear the nearly silent vibration from his typing on his phone.

"Good morning, bed bug."

"Mmmm- 5 more minutes."

I'm so tired and he's so warm and cuddly.

He whispers onto my head.

"We have to get ready for school."

Thank God it's the last week of school before summer.

"Mmmmmm."

He chuckles before sitting up, therefore also pushing me up.

We get ready for school and head down to the bakery.

"Good morning, you two!"

My mom kisses us both on the cheek and hands us each a small bag of cookies.

"Thank you, mama."

"Thank you."

Adrien has such a gorgeous smile. His teeth are perfect and his smile lines make him look so handsome.

We walk out to his car and eat some cookies before driving off to school since we're actually a bit early.

"Ahem!"

I look down to see Tikki moping in my lap.

I giggle and give her a cookie.

"Sorry Tikki."

Adrien gives Plagg some gross ass cheese and we take off.

We get to school and meet up with Alya and Nino where we usually do.

"Hey dudes!"

We all greet each other and chat amongst ourselves.

"I'll be right back, I need to get my geometry book from my locker."

I head towards the locker room and push open the door.

"Oh hey Max."

"Hey there, Marinette."

Max leaves seconds after I open my locker, leaving me alone in the room.

At least I thought I was alone.

Lila comes out from around the corner.

"Hi Marinette. Long time, no see."

I scoff.

"I literally saw you yesterday in science class."

She makes a face.

"Fine. Then long time, no talk."

Yeah bitch. For a reason.

"Let's keep it that way."

I head for the exit since I already have the books I need.
