Y/N woke up with sweat beaming down his face.

He had had a nightmare.

He began to question his existence and his worth.

Could he protect everyone?

Could he save everyone?

Will any of this matter in the end?

The nightmare will just continue will it not?

Yellow woke up as well.

She saw his face and instantly got worried.

"Y/N, what's wrong.", she said in a soft voice.

"Everything is wrong. Children shouldn't have to live like this. In the shadows, running, and starving. We should be feel protected. Safe.", he says while looking down.

"It doesn't matter how hard I try to survive. I'll end up losing it all anyways. What will I have when this is all over? 10 years? 20 years? If I were to ever have children my sins would carry over to them. They would be cursed Yellow! Their life would be hell and it would be all my fault!", Y/N says while griping his shirt.

Yellow put her hand over his and looked into his eye's lovingly.

"You'll still have me Y/N."

Y/N's eyes widened like saucers.

He started to cry.

Yellow wrapped her arms around him affectionately.

Shiki woke up to Y/N's sobs.

"Hey! What's wrong Y/N?"

"He had a terrible nightmare. He thinks that nothing will matter eventually."

Shiki starts to fidget.

"It may n-not be much, but I know I won't leave you.", she says embarrassingly.

Y/N brought her into the hug without saying anything.

Yellow and Shiki slowly break from the embrace.

"You didn't have to look out for me. Protect me, but you did. Everything you did was for us and your friends. You think we would ever leave you? Never that.", said Yellow.

"I love you.", Y/N said with a huge smile on his face.

(Not like that and if it was it would be purely platonic.)

Yellow responded with the same smile.

"I love you too."

Shiki spoke up in protest.

"H-Hey! That's not fair!"

Yellow smirked.

"You gotta be faster than that Shiki."

Y/N looked at Shiki who felt tiny under his gaze.

Y/N pulled them back into a hug.

"Thank you for showing me what It's like to love someone."

"You deserve it. You won't have to fight anymore. I'll protect you.", Shiki said with a smile.

Y/N had a sly grin.

"I'll be holding you to that."

Y/N decided that he would go visit Six. His revenge would have to be postponed now that there was a bigger threat.

He went down the hallway that Mono was at the last time he saw him.

He found a crawl space and moved under it.
