The sacrifice for the young boy that was murdered was taking place in two hours.

"May the undeserving spirit that was met with death have a prosperous life and their beautiful soul live eternally." Ji-yeon recited the spell.

White magic flowed from her body and around the book she was using to practice.

The nine ladies entered with Chan, the advisor, with a blade in each of their hands.

"Care to explain why you need to have ten cuts in your body in order for this boy to live on?" Chan slammed his hand on the table.

"In order for his spirit to know that he deserves another life, because he is worthy of all ten cuts." Ji-yeon closed the spell book.

"And you aren't going to heal yourself after this?" He asked.

"Not directly after, but I will. My blood has to drip onto his body for 15 seconds before his spirit is returned."

She grabbed sheets of paper and cut them with the daggers, testing their sharpness.

"Set these on the table, and cover the boy in soil." She ordered a couple of servants.

She stared from the window of the Throne Room, "he's not coming, is he?" She whispered.

"We went and he was blacked out on the couch." Soobin whispered. "Of course he was." Eve sighed.

Ji-yeon put her crown on and walked to the kitchen for food. "Use your magic if you must." She told the head chef.

Chan followed her through the castle and to the entrance, where the boy laid still, his hair blowing in the wind.

"You'll come back to them." Chan whispered, staring at his family.

"May I speak with you all?" Ji-yeon asked. The family nodded, the mother sobbing violently.

"Your son suffered a tragic death, and as your Queen I must know if you wanted to see him in his last moments." She said softly.

"Please, let me see my boy one more time." The mother begged.

The father held his wife tightly, "show us." Ji-yeon touched their heads and transferred the memories of the boy before he was killed.

He was walking down the street, with a bag of candy in his hands. He got to the forest and was lifted by two werewolves, who tore through his skin then hid him in Ji-yeon's room.

"My son!" His mother sobbed.

"Listen to me," Ji-yeon hugged her, "he will come back today."

*Ji-yeon POV*

It felt like an eternity before the ceremony finally began. I walked to the front of the castle with the ladies behind me, and the whole Kingdom was in the audience.

I recited the enchantments, purple magic flowing through my body to his. Every memory of his life was engraved in my brain, like all of the other sacrificed. He had a lovely life.

It came the end of the enchantments and the ladies brought up their knives with Chan. Together, they cut into my skin and let my blood drip onto the soil that covered the young boy. "Return to us." I whispered.

Everything went dark in the sky, which was strange considering it was just broad daylight, it was 2PM.

The soil started moving and I saw a hand pop out. "He has returned!" Chan announced.
