(wills pov)

"he was right there, wasnt he?" mars asked, i could tell their breath was speeding up.

"i think so? come on he cant be far." i respond, grabbing their hand and starting to look around the arcade.

"the fan and their mates are still there, lets go ask them- whats wrong mars?" i say, turning towards them and noticing that they were on the verge of tears.

"i just cant believe i lost him. i came for one reason, to watch him. and now hes gone to god knows where! i think i need to go outside, one moment." they say. i simply nod and guide them outside, where no one can see. i open my arms up for a hug. immediately, mars' head is in my chest, arms around my back.

"i need to call him, one minute." they say, backing up. they click a few things, then put the phone up to their ear. we make eye contact while they bounce impatiently. their eyes go wide after a few moments as they slowly lower their phone from their ear. i open my arms again, and as soon as they hold on their knees go weak. i lower them down softly so we are both sitting on the ground.

"let me try calling him." i say, reaching to my back pocket. "fuck, i left my stuff at my office. do you want to go there for a minute? we can get you some water or something?" i ask mars.

"yes." they reply wiping tears from their cheeks. i put my hand on their cheek and wipe a tear off with my thumb.

"we will find him, i promise."

"okay" they whisper, standing up. i get up and grab their hand.

"this way" i say

my face gets a bit hot, but now isnt the time. i cant get flustered right now, we need to find tommy. after only a few minutes, we get to my office.

"we're here, lets go" i say

"alright, thank you." they reply. i open the door to the main room and walk towards my office. locked.

"fuck. dave must be in there." i say, and i knock on the door.

"hello?"
