" COME ON PIPER!!!" I say as the wind flew through my hair
" Slow down" Piper said trying to catch up. I finally stop peddling so Piper can catch up. Once she finally got to me she had sweat running down her face.
" how... how did you go so F-fast?" She says trying to catch her breath
" You gotta be fast if your gonna dance" I say smiling
" C-can we get some water" She said pushing her hair out of her face. I laugh and grab her a water bottle from my backpack. She happily accepts the water, and chugs the water in less than 30 seconds.
" Thanks" She says
" No problem. Hey wanna get some ice cream?"
" After I take a shower... Man I stink" Piper says smelling herself, then gagging
" Haha ok Pip" I say
" OH wait you forgot your headphones"
" Oh thanks" She says ready to take them. As soon as her hand touched mine, it felt like the world stopped moving. All of a sudden I started getting goosebumps all over. Why am I shivering? I quickly notice it's a little windy. Oh that makes sense. Once I finally snap out of it, Piper's already done with her shower.
" Huh?"
" I said; You ready to go?"
" Oh um ye-yeah lets go" I say. I grab my mom's car keys and get in the car. Hopefully she doesn't come home from her date till I get back. I turn on the radio, cause I just can't drive in silence. When I turn it on me and Piper's favorite song comes on. Put You First by Sawyer Sharbino. It's soooooo freaking good. I know it was one of the most hated songs of 2020, but it's just so catchy. We sing every single lyric. It was all good, till Gavin's new song " Hate Or Love" came on. Gavin is one of our best friends, but he is one of the WORST singers I've ever heard, Don't even get me started on the rapping. "Oh God here is comes" I say to Piper
" ohOhohohOH So I heard you've been seeing this new guy, and God knows he aint my type ( I AINT GAY) I think you need to think straight, and get in your mind that you aren't ok. CAUSE THAT BIG BOOTY, TOOTY, AND I DON'T WANNA DO THE DOOTY of cleaning that bathroom when you come out of it. Yup I know that it may sound toxic, but the smell of the bathroom is more toxic than this relationship" We heard Gavin sing on the radio.
" How are we gonna tell him that he can't sing?" I say
" Let's give it a few days" Piper says, as we hear Gavin attempt to hit a high note. " Nevermind" She says rubbing her ears. We get out the car, and get into line to get ice cream. I feel Piper's hand brush mine and get goosebumps. Um why do I have goosebumps? I'm not cold, and I'm not scared... so why? I just brush it off and order my ice cream. We both end up getting chocolate ice cream.
" Hey I was wondering if you wanted to have a sleepover"
" Let me ask my mom." I say, pulling up me, and my moms text messages.
Coco: Hey mom, can I have a sleepover with Pipes?
Mama Quinn😘❤👱♀️: It depends, at our house or hers?
Coco: Idk give me a moment
" Hey Piper, my mom wants to know where? At your place or mine?"
" Mine" She says, adding sprinkles to her ice cream.
Coco: Hers
Mama Quinn😘❤👱♀️: yeah you can go. Text me if you guys end up having a longer sleepover.
Coco: K love ya!
Mama Quinn😘❤👱♀️: Love you 2!
" We can. I just gotta text her if I stay longer"
" Cool" Piper says finishing her ice cream. I look down to see my ice cream melted. I frown to myself, wishing I ate it sooner. I guess Piper realized what happened, cause she went and bought me some more. I hug my bestfriend, as I eat my ice cream.
" We should probably go and start setting up the sleepover"
" Yeah probably. Lets go"
